Every so often, in the hushed galleries of Congress, history unfolds in a manner that casts the momentous business of Capitol Hill in stark, even humbling relief.
Then there are moments spent discussing the Whizzinator.
Yesterday morning in Room 2123 of the Rayburn Building, Rep. Bart Stupak, a sober-voiced Democrat from Michigan, held up an advertisement for the "drug-test subversion device," which received national attention last week when it was learned that an NFL player had been detained at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport after authorities found the state-of-the-art prosthetic in his luggage (with a packet of dehydrated urine). The player -- Onterrio Smith of the Minnesota Vikings -- was detained, word of his predicament leaked (ahem), and Smith became an inadvertent billboard for the Whizzinator.
The Whizzinator isn't quite the gold standard in athletic endorsements. Rather, Stupak is bemoaning the ease with which people can buy Whizzinators with credit cards, money orders or checks, and have them delivered by U.S. mail or UPS or FedEx.

Actually, I guess I should be impressed at your obvious psychological prowess since only a true genius could identify me as being anti-social based on a couple of posts here. I suggest you look in the mirror before opening your mouth about something like this again.
The rest of your lecturing is short on sense and principle and long on relativism. Have fun on your judgement day explaining why you choose to actively support, through your vote, people who contribute to the advance of immoral socialistic principles. Because I don't think that the "they were the lesser of two evils" arguement will work, especially when there ARE other candidates in other parties to choose from.

After all, the democratic party's policies strayed far from what he believed and he left them instead of changing their direction. I guess then, using your logic, Reagan was "looking for an easy but irrelevant choice rather than a hard, meaningful one".
I have nothing more to say to you on this subject since your insults and condescension when met with any disagreements about fundamental Constitutional rights, like who to vote for, show you to be nothing more than a childish troll. If you want to insult people who disagree with your toe-the-party-line mentality than you might want to check out DU.
You may as well try to push your efforts through the Democrat party if you think it enhances your chances of getting results.
Funny you mention Reagan. He didn't sit on his hands or waste his time with an irrelevant 3rd party. He moved to the Republican party and worked within that aparatus.
You don't like the party's candidates? Who do you think chooses them? Your neighbors. But you think you are too good to go over and talk to them about electing a conservative PRECINCT captain. You can't even do that so what makes you think you can get any RESULTS.
The reality is you don't care about conservative policies or changing this nation or this world. You are more concerned with your own death and dying 'pure' because you never got your hands dirty within party politics to actually make a difference in this world.
