Announcing the citizen movement to elect Dan Quayle in 2008.
America needs strong, simple leadership to overcome the challenges we will face in the future and to maintain the conservative hegemony we have fought for.
Dan Quayle is the best candidate to lead our party after GWB leaves office.
Please visit our website, and join the movement!

someonetellmewhat zot meanspls... ZOT is the sound made when something or someone gets electrocuted. Trolls get the ZOT (boot), which means they have been banned or suspended.
At least that is my understanding of it. (I had the same question once)

Former Vice President Dan Quayle has made it clear that he is not looking to ever run for elected office again.
He currently advises Cerberus Capital Management and runs Quayle and associates.
He serves on the boards of several companies and is involved in mostly business ventures and activites.
He occasionaly contributes to the media either via columns or Fox news.
Outside of being part of one political action committee and a nasty run for president back in 2000, he has pretty much left the political world.
More likely then not, he may endorse or campaign or help a canidate, but he knows how badly his image was damaged by the media, especially some of the falsified quotes attributed to him (see latin america).
He does not desire the rigors of a campaign, and prefers to contribute only in terms of either finanically, or through the media market.
His wife is a rumored canidate for state office in the southwest (either new mexico or arizona, I forget which).

Sadly, Dan's time has come and past. If they hadn't brought in W to claim the fond rememberances of his father's kinder/gentler presidency, he would have been the beneficiary. At this point, 16 years later, it's a little too late. Too long out of office, out of the spotlight. No one will remember what he has done lately, but they'll all remember the jokes.

we are in huge danger of looking like the dems in 2008 with everyone and their uncle running. Dan is a nice guy but until he emerges from his wilderness period stonger smarter meaner he has no chance.

Potatoe is an acceptable alternative spelling. But the bigger issue, was that this was even an issue. To attack Quayle for this begs the question, "Is that all you got?" This is the opposite of 'damning with faint praise.'
