Do you know if FTN provides a transcript of the program?

Some day I hope the writing wonks at the RNC issue a press release that isn't so traditional, stilted and boring.

Whose going to pay any attention to those tired sentences that run on and on with the same old words.

Man, I'd like to write just one press release for them, just one, just ONE.

Republican PR stinks on every level and in any form. It has since GHWB and continues to this day.

There were some notable exceptions at the RNC in the past. Haley Barbour and Lee Atwater come to mind.

They could speak casually but insightfully to the common man and the common man understood what the hell they said and relate to it.

I'd like to meet the guy that wrote that hard-hitting, blistering press release above and yank his bow tie and rimless glasses off.

Why don't you rewrite the press release the way you think it ought to be done?

Want to hear some classic Teddy Kennedy double-speak. Heres a couple whoppers that that lying sack-o-manure laid on the Senate back in 1965 when he was pushing an immigration reform bill known as the Immigration and Nationalization Act: "What the bill will not do: First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually." (WRONG!) "Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remainss substantially the same." (WRONG!) "Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset." (WRONG!) "Contrary to the charges in some quarters, S.500 will not inundate America with immigrants from one country or area." (WRONG!)....Keep in mind, before Teddy Kennedy "reformed" our immigration laws, America was averaging about 200,000 immigrants per year. Now, today, when you factor in illegal immigrants and amnesty shenanigans, we're averaging about 3 MILLION immigrants per year. And now, 40 years later, this guy Teddy Kennedy, with a straight face, has the GALL to introduce a NEW immigration bill.... a "solution" to the problem that he, more than anybody else, is responsible for CAUSING. Its almost unbelievable. Stop the Kennedy-McCain Amnesty-for-illegals bill. Stop Teddy Kennedy from doing to America what he already DID to Mary Jo Kopechne.

In Toddy's sunday show the good old boy from Mass. flipflopped. He started by giving a strong defense (on the surface) of maintaining the Senate rules as they exist.Claiming it would be against the will of the people
and possibly illegal to change the Senate rules. Then he
turned around and said changing the filibuster rule would
deney Senators their Constitutionally mandated obligation to give the Presidents nominations the up or down vote they all deserve.I wasn't drunk and he appeared
closer to sober than usual so I think I heard him right.

Yes, Ted is stilled dazed by his swim. The only good advice he ever received came from his dear friend John Kerry, who advise him to only buy cars that float.
