In Toddy's sunday show the good old boy from Mass. flipflopped. He started by giving a strong defense (on the surface) of maintaining the Senate rules as they exist.Claiming it would be against the will of the people
and possibly illegal to change the Senate rules. Then he
turned around and said changing the filibuster rule would
deney Senators their Constitutionally mandated obligation to give the Presidents nominations the up or down vote they all deserve.I wasn't drunk and he appeared
closer to sober than usual so I think I heard him right.

You did hear it right. I heard the same thing and couldn't believe my ears!

Does he actually listen to what he says? I think he talks just to hear himself speak.
