"Our culture must strengthen traditional marriage, promote abstinence before marriage, and reject any attempts to undermine the natural law by redefining marriage to include same-sex couples. The future of our civilization is at stake! This is a battle we cannot afford to lose."

We are losing and will continue to lose so long as judges rule our country.

Destruction of marriage, the genocide against the unborn, the perversion of our justice system, the embracing of sexual permissiveness and perversion...all of it leads to the same place.

As John Adams said, our true strength lies in our faith in God and His fundmamental moral principle.

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."- John Adams, Oct. 11, 1798

While we're at it, we can outlaw divorce and start prosecuting heterosexual adultery. Oh wait...that has no popular support.

"Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools" - Romans 1:2

This immediately came to mind. Depart from the word of God and this is what you get. Wake up America.

Yup, the more you read history, the more you see that this is true. Sadly, you also see that any effort to stop it is pretty futile - slowing down this trend is the best you can hope for...

The ACLU was formed to covertly destroy the United States. To do that one has to destroy the family. To destroy the family you have to make marriage obsolete and the birthing of children by the unwed a great joy. You also have to destroy the religion that the country bases its heritage and culture on. Then you make the killing of the unborn and about to be born the norm and you have destroyed the fabric of the Nation.

The ACLU is well on its way to meeting their original mission, "The destruction of the United States." We as individuals cannot stop this train, we must band together and put our money to work to destroy the ACLU and the other left-wing fascist anti-American organizations that promote the destruction of our culture.

Rather than outlaw it, it would be great if these things weren't so "celebrated" in the media. Unfortunately, political correctness has removed "shame" from our vocabulary and our understanding.

25 years ago, a divorce was seen as a personal failure. An adulterous liaison was something that happened in the seediest locations, by wicked people. Sure, they happened, but it wasn't something people could shrug off and say their actions made them proud.

We don't need laws to keep these things in check; we just need to restore a culture where shame can be a more effective weapon in the preservation of society.

Those that do not care for the Constitution would appear to agree. Theirs is a living one - ie. not really a Constitution at all.

We can peer over the Atlantic and learn that a secular majority society doesn't have much use for democracy, either, and are willing to concede freedoms to unaccountable bureaucrats.

Unwin stated it this way, "In human records there is no instance of a society retaining its energy after a complete new generation has inherited a tradition which does not insist on prenuptial and postnuptial continence."

Not surprising at all since marriage is ordained of God and involves His very image.

We pervert it at a terrible cost.

It's become acceptable for all kinds of people to live together in all kinds of combinations without any form of marriage.

It's become acceptable for all kinds of single people to adopt children.

It's become acceptable for single women to become pregnant and have babies.

It's become acceptable for even single gay women to have babies via artificial insemination.

Women no longer need to be protected because we are told they are equal and can fend for themselves--sometimes they even earn more than thair husbands.

So thanks to the above and more, getting rid of state sponsored marriage makes perfect sense.

Not that it is a good thing--but you've let them talk you out of all the reasons for legal marriage.

And now you have no argument except sentimentality.

You have let them create an artificial culture in which legal marriage has no logical place.

You've been bamboozled.

On point, accurate.

Thanks...that John Adams quote is one of my favorites. Those men knew what they were doing and why...and those seeking to tear it all down do too.
