Those that do not care for the Constitution would appear to agree. Theirs is a living one - ie. not really a Constitution at all.
We can peer over the Atlantic and learn that a secular majority society doesn't have much use for democracy, either, and are willing to concede freedoms to unaccountable bureaucrats.
