Just went to FAS, looks like the killing radius of a grenade is 15 ft. and the casualty radius is 45 ft.

Good and you?
I'm looking through photos on yahoo in case there's something to spot.

Must watch Full Metal Jacket again,,, Am I misremembering how they work? I thought the spoon was normally held down by the pin (but could also be held down by the operator's grip). When the spoon is released, it allows a hammer to strike a percussion charge which ignites a fuse. Some time later, the burning fuse reaches a priming charge and the grenade goes boom.

A hand grenade was thrown landing 100ft. from President Bush and the Secret Service didn't see it? I don't believe that. Remember, we're getting this from NBC. Consider the source.

I wonder which political despot will be the first to be saddened by the failure.

No. Bush averted an assassination attempt in Colombia, remember? So, Bush = 2.
Somebody up there likes him. Those who don't can get over it--they lost.

Timeline (local Georgian capital Tblisi Time) by my calculations:
1430 Local Time Bush Leaves Tblisi
1800 Local Time (approximately) US informed of incident
(approximately 3.5 hours afterward)
OR
Per another calculation:
1430 Local Time Bush Leaves Tblisi
0030 Local Time US informed of incident (approximately 10 hours afterward)
We'll have to see....
We do know the Tblisi Freedom Square speech was in the morning, perhaps late morning at that, local time today....
