Yep... I think that's what gives me flutterbies more than anything else. This ain't nascar, and I don't want to see a wreck.

BTW - I hardly bear to watch figure skaters until it's a replay and I know they didn't fall ;~D

I felt bad for him. He was obviously disappointed enough to cry. He was wiping his nose, and his eyes were 'puffy'. Wouldn't look into the camera.

Prayers for the guy, from this house.

Another exciting race!

A perfect day for an American tradition.

They sure got it right when they said the Kentucky Derby is the most exciting two minutes in sports.

"man, every replay has that lady screaming as her horse lost... sheesh"

That woman is the mother of the little girl, Alex, who died from cancer last Summer, and for whom the horse has been used to raise research money on her rare form of cancer ... Mom is entitled .. for her this wasn't JUST a horse race.

Monarchos was a grey
Was Monarchos a bob-tailed nag? If only one "grey" has won the Derby then what's up with the "Grey Theory"?

This is the first time I have lost BIG. I am grateful I placed no bets. All of the horses I studied, analyzed and picked LOST. I bow, humbled. I suck.

One thing I wish they would have done is caught Giacamo's peoples' expressions when he won. Must have been SHOCK. My uncle actually bet him based on an interview with the jock yesterday. I'll never hear the end of this.. My horse Bandini was either dead last or second to last. I do not think Giacamo will repeat, but why listen to me??

I'll tell you guys what. I will scan this thread, and if I find someone who had Giacamo for his first choice, I will buy you something off of ebay for $10.

Bandidni was probably next to last. My Wife's horse - High Limit - was dead last. Wife and some girls where she works had some money on HL.

"I'm beginning to like Sun King and that inside track postition at 15-1."

I never pick inside horses in long races. Then again, I picked two who came in 19th and 20th.
