Pre-Race coverage now on ESPN
OK - we've got your prediction in cold print!
Long-striding colt took four races to break his maiden but has improved rapidly since, winning maiden and allowance races with ease before finishing second in the Florida Derby all at 11/8 miles. The $1.15 million yearling part of the Zito quintet is the sort of improving horse with a stamina pedigree that gives him a huge shot to win.
Kentucky.....4 million people, 15 last names.
Me too, sometimes! I've never actually bet on a race. I don't really follow racing that much, 'cept Triple Crown races... If you ask me how I'd run it, I wish these horses were all a year older.
I'll take Buzzard's Bay.
Thanks for the thread! Good to see everyone here again this year.
I'm going on record early. Smarty was the first favorite to win in a long time. I say Bellamy Road craps out in the stretch.
I'm taking High Fly and Jerry Bailey by at least three.
Roy and Trigger. My all time favorites.
box 3-14-16....
Watching another race on ESPN now.... there's a horse freaking in the gate, and they pulled everyone out and ended up having to scratch the freaker. Scares the daylights out of me to watch horses in those gates. So precarious.
Crush the leaves with a spoon and stir well. Fill a chilled tumbler with with crushed ice, add Bourbon, and top with strained mixture.
Add a layer of crushe d ice. Continue at least one more time, topping with ice.
Pour more Bourbon on top. Garnish with fresh mint springs.
Wonderful thread! Thanks for all your hard work in putting this together. I'll check back from time to time today.
You may want to check out this thread... :o)
My pleasure :~D
This is breaking news?
Yes... hope it doesn't diminish your enjoyment of the day.
One stops by every thread on FReep.
yes it is....
Yep - especially for the troops deployed out of Kentucky, who are following the race on Webcast or AFN, like my guys are!
