The first Muslim anti-terror rally will be held this month in Washington D.C.! I heard this through the Michael Reagan Show tonight on KNUS 2. Although painfully late in world events, it was exciting news to hear. Unfortunately when I went to their web site http://www.freemuslim.org/sohof/theroots/index.htm my first reaction, again, was pessimism. The headline of their English translation is "Islam is the religion of peace, purity, acceptance and commitment." I know from ProphetofDoom.net that this is a false claim of Islam. Freemuslim.net is either very confused, or a false front for Islam. Renouncing terrorism means denying Islam's form of evangelism, one of the five pillars of Islam. A message I posted on my web site said, "1/27/05 The peaceful, nonmilitant form of Islam is found in the oppressed, uninformed, common practitioners of Islam who are warned not to ask too many questions about the religion or its leaders. This submissive majority is used as plausible deniability by the leaders of true Islam, whose earthly goals are world domination and possession of all its wealth, not peaceful coexistence. Study Islam, or fail history again." I understand the strategies of the War Against Terrorism - The only way to truly win the war is to convince the enemy that they're wrong. The only way to fully accomplish this is to get peaceful Muslims to confront the militants and fight them with us. When the Middle East has opened up to real religious freedom through democracy, then the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be presented without the threat of death. Then Muslims can KNOW that they are going to heaven instead of wondering and vainly working for an unprommiced chance at eternity. This first Muslim demonstration against terrorism may be the beginning of common Muslims thinking for themselves; another step away from the devil of Islam toward the true Prince of Peace. What do you think?

I used to believe the "moderate Muslim" myth, but it is indeed a myth. I will agree that there are Muslims that are ignorant as to what Islam preaches, as well as those trapped under Shari'a law -- but I doubt those Muslims will be the ones marching w/ the likes of CAIR.

I lived and worked around Sufi Muslims when I was deployed to Uzbekistan in 2003-04. The Uzbeks live a different form of Islam. True, Islam and every other religion was under the Soviet heel for seventy years. But Uzbeks were quick to remind me, "we're not like those people down south (the Afghans)". Lovely young Uzbek women, dressed very western, replied to my question about Islamic dress codes with "we carry Islam in our hearts". And my jaw dropped when I saw two Uzbek schoolteachers (interpreters who taught Russian on the side) on their way to the chapel tent one Sunday morning! Their response was very Sufi-like: "we study other religions and traditions".
On a trip to Samarkand I pointed out an obvious mosque and asked our guide if he worshipped as a Muslim. He responded, "I don't believe in that @#$@ anymore!"
I have kept in touch with the schoolteachers. They remind me that Jews and Christians have lived in Uzbekistan for thousands of years. They credit Sufi tolerance for this. I know the situation there is far from perfect, politically and economically, but it was good to stay a time in a Muslim, not Islamic country, where one need not fear being a non-Muslim.
Islam has evangelized through terrorism from day one under the murderous mohammad.
If it was up to me all CAIR members would be politely asked to go home or die.
If they all go home, who will run the convenience stores, motels, and dry cleaners? What would we do about the doctor shortage???? Hey! We could hire illegals to replace them!!

Slowly the Muslims are awakening to the fact that they should be emissaries of peace. They will be judged by Allah if they fail in this. To be a Muslim is not a right. It is a responsibility. Muslim should now look at their religion as their responsibility to translate the Koranic precepts into working principles of social science.
Every little bit helps. This is important in that Muslims are the only ones who can successfully reform their culture. The efforts of non-Muslims will not be accepted. But there is still a very long way to go in terms of reforming that very dysfunctional society, a process that can easily be derailed. Any opening of the mind is good, as it can lead to further and deeper critical self-analysis in the future. Overcoming the peer pressure within Islamic societies is the greatest impediment. Anything that can break that down is good.
How could the WWP make thier claim that the US is racist if the alledged victims are protesting them?

I just love it ever since 9-11 people here been pissing and moaning that that there are no Muslims out there that support what we are doing, then whenever someone posts something that show Muslims supporting us the morons show up and (try) to show just how patriotic they are by spouting nonsence like "Too little, too late".
Yes, I know the Muslims are in fact a cult that worships the god of the moon and not THE GOD, but that isn't the issue for me. I don't care if they worship disposable soiled diapers as a god, as long as they are peaceful and do no others harm.
These crazy factions that breed out of the insanity of the writings of Mohammad the child molester have to be removed by their people of faith, because if they keep this up, it becomes their culture against the rest of the world and they make us kill most of them.

Their problem is that they have cancers in their scriptures and they follow those cancers and then murder the innocent.
I think the ONLY muslims that will speak out about this at ALL are the ones overseas that are afraid their neighbors won't be treating them well as attack after attack happens with stone silence from religious leaders.
