This rant may keep him in jail for an extra few months. I hope it is going to be worth it to him. I know it is to me.

Please do not put this on Ms. Bentfeathers "The Dragon Flies Lair" on FR.

From that website:
" My favorite writers are Hunter S. Thompson, Stephen King, Frank Herbert, and Kurt Vonnegut; the three finest bands in the history of music are Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Queen."
Don't think much of this guy's taste in writers...but hard to argue with his rock picks.

It turns out that the motorists of Kansas are degenerate, puerile, shit-nosed little narcs, one and all. Ironic, reallyto get out of this drug charge, Im forced to arrange bigger drug deals than I ever intended to. Cest la vie, non?

You're correct. I did my mea culpa a few posts ago. I got thrown off because the ending is properly pronounced "-kint" due to its German origins.
I should have known better. I'm preparing my son for the National Spelling Bee in June (he won Colorado) and "wunderkind" is one of his study words...

I must be getting crotchety, but one of the most irritating things about these college radical types is the sad fact that a long, long time ago I used to BE one. Not rude and criminal like this one, but I understand the "logic" of their thoughts. I just think they have been miseducated and one day, I hope, will hear the true facts.

Quite a retort from this punk. Unfortunate that he couldn't take all that emotion and direct it into something worthwhile.
My Mom always used to say that profane people weren't educated enough to properly express themselves. With this guy in particular, I think that she's right. I've since found that profanity is an excellent way to make a point, or to get someone's attention, but when it's used in every 3rd word it tends to lose it's effect.

If I had written something like this when I went to college, I would have been expelled. That's OK, I think he will find it is admissable against him at his next trial.

And we just thought Hunter Thompson was dead. Thompson had real talent, and Thompson knew how to fudge enough details in his writing to keep it from constituting evidence against him.
This clown has no brains and no discernable talent.

Schmucks like this dipwad made great punching bags back in college. I can understand his hate, it's his shield. It goes hand in hand with sabotaging his own life.
To: cvq3842
I know that kids have to be kids and go through their phases etc, but this particulr college kid needs to clean up his language, stop railing against "the system", get a job, and try to stop smoking pot!
If he absolutely must smoke the herb, then at least do it on private property.
I have actually come into contact with all sorts of leftist radicals of different stripes over the years. I noted that some are rabid, militant types and the type that are just plain unpleasant.
Then, on the other hand, are the pot-smoking "philosophical" types that are "far out" and actually open to reason and honest objective discussion, sans animosity.
I always liked having intelligent dialogue with the latter, as there is some way to communicate and honestly dig at the validity of different philosophies, ideas etc.
The rude, belligerent types that are stuck with this "in your face" type of attitude should do some hard labor to get this out of their system. For example, clearing land under the hot summer sun in 110 degree heat, by hand with no power tools. I did that once and it was HELL.
This punk needs to grow up and start contributing to society in some way and stop mouthing off and being repugnant. Maybe he needs to hang out with some "cool" hippies? Who knows.

To: lugsoul
Think about it - a guy who has been convicted of fraudulently obtaining a loan is eligible for a student loan. A guy who has been convicted of possession of an ounce of weed is not. Do you really think that is good public policy? No, but the answer is to make the other rapists and frauds those convicted of violent crimes also ineligible, not to legalize drugs.

He had the phrasing and Gonzo structure though. It's hard to compare a few paragraphs with a life's work. He obviously was striving forthe Thompson style.
