To follow is a very troubling e-mail that I just received from one of Captain Mike's men:
My dear friends,
I forgot to duck. By the time most of us read this I will be on my way to Germany for treatment. The doctors have decided that I'm too severely injured to continue my job. I don't know when I be back stateside but I will let you know.

This message was dictated to me before the captain lost consciousness. I'm not a doctor so I can't tell you his condition. I can tell you that he did it right and saved the lives of several men in the vicinity. The unit sends its sympathies to his friends and family.
Personally, I found him to be the finest officer that I have ever known and am honored to serve under him. Again, you all have our thanks and our sympathies.

This is very disturbing. Either AQ and their allies are pulling their version of a Tet Offensive, or they have become sophisticated enough to be able to conduct sustained operations.

Your suspicions are good. He is a fraud.
Not listed on the master Army database in any combination of name spellings. Also, everyone has an Army email account-active, reserve, National Guard. Even the classified Special Missions guys.
If he really was in a real "SOCOM" unit, he would NEVER let his name be disclosed on a partisan and a public forum.
He is a fraud as is 1LT Marc Owen. They do not exist as members of the US Army in any capacity. I just checked two internal databases.
Socomofficer is a fraud. He is dishonoring those of us in uniform as he is not in the Army in ANY CAPACITY.
I checked for him and his buddy "1LT Marc Owen" on both the World Wide Locator and the Army Knowledge Online White Pages.
If he were in the Army, he would at least be listed on AKO. Army, National Guard, Reserves, DA civilians, even the classified guys have AKO accounts.
You are right, some people will do anything for a thread...like perpetuate a fraud.
