Uh oh, the Canadian enviro-socialists aren't going to like this. Global warming is the biggest scam perpetrated on the American public since One Hour Martinizing (to borrow a line from Seinfeld).

The good news is that we don't have to go back to horses and buggies.
The potential bad news is as follows: There was an age back around 5000 - 8000 years or so ago called hypsothermal or hipsothermal or something like that, which was a great deal warmer than our present age and which corresponds roughly to the classical 'golden age' of ancient literature. And the reason they called it a 'golden age' instead of the age when everybody drowned was that this was before the Noachian flood and there simply was not as much water on the Earth at the time. If such an age were to recur today, the beachfront could easily be in West Virginia or Kentucky.
As a worst possible case, we will need to be able to move some of the excess water off the planet back into space where it came from and that will require control over gravity (which the USAF and Boeing are presently working on and call GRASP, or Gravity Reduction and Advanced Space Propulsion). Fifty years from now, we should be capable of that sort of thing.

Kyoto would do nothing towards reducing greenhouse emissions.

Prof. Tim Patterson, a paleoclimatologist from Carleton University, speaks for some 50 scientists who've contributed to the research. He puts it succinctly: "In the eight years since the Kyoto Protocol was introduced, there has been a revolution in climate science. Sorry, bozo, there were a lot of scientists back then who knew better, only the rest of you clumpheads weren't listening... http://www.sepp.org/pressrel/petition.html

In other words, global warming is a myth. A political ploy
Heresy! These people better watch out, they'll be dragged in to the Liberal's equivalent of The Inquisition, with Henry Waxman as Torquemada. Perhaps Greenpeace can play the role of the nuns in a Busbee Berkley routine. ;-)

Giving the "Kyoto Protocol" to the world is about as helpful as giving a loaded gun to a person contemplating suicide.
