CSPAN does have an MS Player option, if that is your question.

Jeff Greenfield is no Robert Lipton of 'Inside the Actors Studio.'

There's still time. Greenfield could ask him his favorite curse word.

TV defies the most obvious fact about its customers -- their prodigal and efflorescent diversity. people perform scores of thousands of different jobs; pursue multifarious hobbies; read hundreds of thousands of different publications. TV ignores the reality that people are not inherently couch potatoes; given a chance, they talk back and interact. People have little in common except their prurient interests and morbid fears and anxieties. Necessarily aiming its fare at this lowest-common-denominator target, television gets worse and worse every year. p 15

Thanks. I was looking for the live feed of the dinner and thought those with Real Player were watching something I wasn't able to get through Media Player.

I think he was trying to be funny because they were talking about the prescription drug commercials

But he didn't come off as being funny though

The audience doesn't like Ron Silvers support of Rudy.

Would someone tell Greenfield to stop it with the ad hominem attacks? Geez. Would he know a logical argument if it smacked him in the head?

The thing about Silver is that he is prepared for the discussion with and arsenal of facts, not just agenda-hype. He seems very well-read on current events, etc.

In his own mind, Greenfield thinks he is auditioning for the 'Nightline' job here...

Was that a little tit for tat between Jeff and Ron ??

Jeff didn't seem to like Ron's comment about before Clinton was President ... DC was known for substance and Hollywood was know for sex

When Clinton came to DC it was the other why around

Then Jeff said something about ugly people .. but I didn't catch it all

I agree with your opinion of Ron Silver...

I wish that any of the Senators could talk like that about their party--except for the abortion stuff, of course.
