That is not true, you are falsely accusing me of something I am not doing, my cleaners are a legal business and I receive a receipt from them every month for their services.

So you hire them and they hire the illegal aliens. Is that the scam?

And in case you wonder, I did not ask for papers any more than I would have asked for ID papers when I met my french wife.

If they are good workers and decent people, why not ask them? If they turn out to be illegals, maybe you could help them get the proper documentation, so they can be free from fear of deportation. Just a thought.

But then he would have to pay them more

Minuteman Project: "Anchor Babies Against Illegal Immigration."

Last week, Mexican Foreign Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez personally reacted to Schwarzenegger's calls for a closed border, saying the comments "were wrong, an error and something we're not going to accept."

Derbez was far more upset at Schwarzenegger than he was at Fidel Castro, who really lambasted President Fox and urged him to resign. It shows how important the illegal immigrant cash flow is to Mexico and its politicians.

I thought hunters stalked their prey? How do you hunt something while sitting in your lawn chair?

they can't let the facts get in the way of a good yellow journalism story.

just as an aside, illegals can legally start their own businesses via fictitious business names, etc. The Mexican consulates hold seminars from time to time to show them how. You could do a lot of checking and still not be able to detect that someone is an illegal.

Do you have any idea of what the Federal fine for employing an illegal alien is???

but do you know what the chances of that fine being applied are for an individual or small business? Pretty close to zero.

Language gets really slippery on this issue. The Mexican Government hasn't done a da&^% thing for us or for their own people lately. Most Mexicans do nothing but good for our country, while the rest break our laws, grafitti our public spaces, deface our schools, insult our government and cost us billions in taxes going to prisons, welfare, schools, and medical.

RE: "It is sooo easy to push you peoples buttons, nowhere did I say I hired illegals. . . . "

You are the one who first brought up the question of legal or illegal. To wit, in you post #20 why did you state, "And in case you wonder, I did not ask for papers any more than I would have asked for ID papers when I met my french wife."

Ask for papers? What the heck for?

I haven't heard of any such situation occuring where the MM are operating.

Now don't go confusing those Mexican government people with facts. They can't handle that.

If I remember correctly, an employer CANNOT ask an alien illegal or otherwise to prove he/she is in the US legally.

And then there is the great loophole of employers being fined for "knowingly" hiring illegals. There was a bigwig at Tyson Chicken who gave bonuses to those who could bring illegals to chop off chicken heads and thank goodness he was caught, but I wouldn't be surprised if he copped the "I-didn't-know-they-were-illegal plea.

Don't you know that they are deserve a free education in our schools. They also deserve free medical care, welfare, food stamps and all the other freebies that our country provides.

Be a nice little citizen and be sure to pay all your taxes. The poor illegals need the money.

Hate the fact that OUR government doesn't have the balls to enforce its immigration laws or that THEIR government is run by corrupt thugs. I have NO hatred for ANYONE regardless of race or what language they speak who are looking for work.

That's not true, every employee hired has to fill out a paper showing proof of social security card, green card or birth certificate. I'll look it up.
