Sen. Edward Kennedys Abu Ghraib Meltdown By E.F. Winslow 4-27-2005
Yesterday, Massachusetts Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D) released a statement commemorating the first anniversary of the revelations of detainee abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. Never missing an opportunity for a partisan attack, he described the now infamous images of Charles Graner and Lynndie England with their prisoners had now been seared into our collective memory and laid the blame squarely on the shoulders of the Republican administration. The Administration Kennedy says, left our soldiers, case officers, and intelligence agents in a fog of ambiguity. They were told to 'take the gloves off' without knowing what the limits were. Despite the fact that nine comprehensive investigations have been carried out by the Pentagon, Kennedy apparently wont be happy until he has the heads of some high level officials in a basket. We know about the actions that have been taken against Charles Graner and Lynndie England. But what about William Haynes, Alberto Gonzales, Jay Bybee, John Yoo, David Addington, Douglas Feith? Kennedy goes so far as to misrepresent the situation to attempt to paint the worst possible picture of the U.S. military.

sunken oldsmobiles and drowned girls also have been seared into our collective memory senator derrigible!
What does Kennedy think he can gain from this, except to further destroy the Democratic party? Common sense Americans are not going to stand by and let the Democrats destroy the reputation and fabric of our military might!
I doubt a single thing went on in any of those photos that couldn't be witnessed at a Kennedy compound at some point in the last forty years.
In the last hour yesterday, Rush and callers made hilarious fun of the swimmer.
When's the anniversary of Chappiquidick (sp)? We should all send cards of remembrance to Kennedy.
The Administration Kennedy says, left our soldiers, case officers, and intelligence agents in a fog of ambiguity"
Kinda like that Chappiquidic "fog of ambiguity" senator?
What a piece of trash this nut is. But look at the people that elected him. What were they thinking?
Shouldn't Fat Teddy be 'drowning' himself in cheap liquor instead of wasting his time showering microphones with foam-speckled spittle?
I for one think we need more homicides of detainees...then we won't have to worry about them escaping or being released. Who cares about these "people" anyway? We need to send a message: find yourself in a situation where you're being hunted by the US military, and you could very well be killed, even if captured. Simple.
Blast it! You beat me to it.
Is 'fog of ambiguity' in any way related to an 'alcoholic fog'?
Loved the way Rush and callers took on the subject - some very hilarious comments were made.
Yes, we should all send anniversary cards to Kennedy's office as a Chappaquidic remembrance -
There was a direct correlation between the Abu Ghraib story and an increase in terrorist attacks. Rather than let the military deal with this problem quietly, the Dems and the media splashed it all over the news, thereby inciting the insurgents to more violence and the loss of American lives. And I will not apologize for this: that was their intent.
Pretty obvious to me, too.
What's with the demonrats and events being "seared" into their memory? Especially booze sotted and drug addled brains. Both the swimmer's and JFinK's memories were probably refreshed, oops make that seared, by some staffer with an idea for publicity.
All send Teddy a pair of those 'swimmers nose clips'

When I heard about "Splash Day" yesteday, I first thought it was a counter protest to Kennedy's Abu Ghraib Day.
