I know a woman in the same situation. She is a staunch Roman Catholic and has not had an abortion. She just had bariatric surgery too which is EXTREMELY high risk, put blood pressure and diabetes with that too. Being older does NOT mean you will lose your baby though. Don't believe the doctors at all. Read Supernatural Childbirth. It's a good book.

Dear TheWriterTX...may the blessings of the Lord be upon you and your family. Take care of yourself, get rest and keep a positive frame of mind.
Your story brought tears to my eyes this morning. My niece and her husband just went though 3 years of infertility. Thankfully last year they had a beautiful son. And everyone is doing well.
My husband and I suffered a miscarriage with our first pregnancy. We had been married for a year and were looking forward having our first child. It had been a difficult year. I became pregnant in March of that year...my mother passed away in mid-April from breast cancer....and I had a miscarriage at the end of July. My mother thankfully knew that we were expecting; so I often think that she was in heaven waiting with open arms to comfort the soul of the dear baby that we never knew. We have since been blessed with two wonderful sons who are now 7 and 9.
