OCALA, Fla. A convicted sex offender apparently committed suicide in despair over signs posted in his neighborhood calling him a child rapist.
Clovis Claxton (search), 38, was found dead by his father with one of the signs beside his body. It was less than a day after his release from a psychiatric hospital.
His mother blames Marion County (search) Commissioner Randy Harris (search) for her son's death. Harris proposed putting up flyers in the neighborhoods of sex offenders to alert neighbors.

Sure I understand - I just like how he said "nervous hospital" in the movie.
w"hich means the you can toss several parts of the Bill of Rights "for the children"... and not just for those convicted, since Equal Protection still applies. No more warrants required to go through your home and access your laptop, because, as you just noted, the right to privacy is not as important as the safety of the children."
This is quite a stretch.
I don't glee over his death but I'm not upset either. Would you want an ex-child molester living next to you? I hope not. You have nice kids and I don't trust ex-sex perverts as far as they can be thrown even if they caught religion.
Y"ou are expressly advocating that those who are in the 12% be given no chance"
It's not no chance. This man was not forced to kill himself. He could have overcome his situation. But the fact that he killed himself means we don't have to worry if he is in the 88%
No, they're not.
We should be under no more obligation to grieve for this pervert having killed himself than for, say, Judas having done the same.
And I agree with you. Get the rehabitatable out of prison to make room for those who cannot be rehabilitated.
It's not likely to happen, though, as long as the inmates are running this asylum of ours.
We aren't talking about shoplifting - we're talking about men who rape, torture and kill children.
So it's about "feelings"?
Talk about a culture of death...
Well...maybe the 19 yr old should think about keeping it in his pants then huh?
Huh?
Castrated offenders don't need to use instruments, depending upon the type. First, chemically castrated offenders are treated with this process in order to lower their sexual drive, not their ability to perform (though that can also be a consequence). As for actual castration (the removal of the testes), if done after puberty it does not even effect the ability to achieve erection (in fact, Roman women used to have their slaves castrated as they found the slave was then able to "maintain" longer than a non-castrated man).
So your argument is not to the point. People aren't chemically or physically castrated in order to prevent them from being able to rape; they are castrated to reduce their urge to have sex...
Institutionalization isn't allowed anymore, unless it is for the criminally insane. Even then, they can only be for a number of years, then they are released to group homes. It's crazy, but they are living among us and we are suppose to tolerate it.
The NYC people, 2 separate instances that I can recall, who were shoved in front of subway trains by mentally ill homeless people, comes to mind.
You're sure they're not next door to you now?
Like I said... let the ex-con rapists live next to you. You seem to be so enamored of preserving their right to privacy.
LOL, comprende. I liked everything Billy Bob did in that movie. I have watched many of his movies since and he is so different in every role, that the actor himself is almost invisible.
I had a similar experience where the physical appearance was that of a 20-22 girl. Very womanly! I was struck that she seemed young somehow. I asked her where she went to school hoping she was in college as she seemed to like my attention - SHE WENT TO A MIDDLE SCHOOL!! That meant she was 13 MAX!! Needless to say I beat a rapid retreat.
Funny, we'll never be able to observe the genuineness of your Christian love, God forbid a pedophile would happen to abuse or kill a child in your family. No, all we have to go on is your self righteous smuggness.
I say: "Print more signs!"
