Michael Moore, the man behind the President Bush-bashing "Fahrenheit 9/11," would like to reward and encourage students to rebel against authority. The 50-year-old filmmaker has set up a scholarship for California State University, San Marcos students who defy the school's administration, reports the AP. Moore had announced his intention to award the two $2,500 Freedom of Speech scholarships last year when the school canceled his scheduled appearance, even after the student government raised $40,000 for his visit in September.

University President Karen Haynes claimed that the decision was made because the campus didn't have enough time to find someone to represent an opposing viewpoint. Moore spoke to some 10,000 San Marcos students anyway, off campus at the Del mar Fairgrounds in October.

I think that I get it. The students are rebelling against authority by blindly following a 50 year adult.

If MM wants to pay students out of his own pocket to rebel against authority, I'm all for it for two reasons.

1)MM loses money

2)It's about time college students started to tell their pro socialist, blame America first, anti-religion bigoted professors that they are full of s#!% and to go to hell.

Yeah, "Obey me and rebell!"

Reminds me of the Free For All episode of the Prisoner, except I hate to put McGoohan and Moore in the same room.

Maybe I'll become a student film maker and make a film entitled Class and Classlessness contrasting the two.

"Scholarship winners, who will be announced in June, will be students "who have done the most to fight for issues of student rights by standing up to the administration.""

OK. I nominate the girl who wore a dress made like a confederate flag for her prom.

Think she'll win?

So if they commit vandalism, will Moore be legally liable?
