I said in another thread that child molesters should at the very least be given mandatory life sentences without the possibility of parole -- regardless of whether their victims are alive or dead. My preference would be to execute them, but the bleeding hearts would be outraged, so I doubt this would ever happen. What the soft touches don't realize is that these pedophiles cannot and will not be rehabilitated. I've heard a number of convicted pedophiles who have said that when they are released, they will go out and do the crime again.

This Cooey guy only got something like six years for his last offense. That is an outrage. He should never have been released.

And those so-called family members who helped conceal his whereabouts -- they should be locked up as well. That prosecutor has rocks in his head for not wanting to prosecute them. The citizens of his jurisdiction should mobilized to force him to do so, or toss his sorry backside out of office.

No, the Democrats didn't OVERTLY kill this girl. They did and do contribute to a judiciary and a society that lessens the penalties for drug crimes, choosing to blame "society" for a criminal's behavior, and making a mockery of the need to instill moral absolutes in the law.

Reading the details of this precious child's death makes me want to throw up. This needless, senseless murder was years in the making--the scum who took her innocence and her life had been in and out of the system for years. His perversion was known.

And anger arises in my soul when I think how the long term results of the current perversions of the judicial system are going to hurt future generations.

We are going to have to change the criminal justice and judicial system big time if there are to be fewer Jessicas in this world.
