"Why do many seek answers to questions such as: How does a nation justify, publicly watching the death of an innocent disabled woman while no one was capable of stopping her murder?

Terri's death cannot be defined as anything but cold, callous, inhumane, unnecessary, wrong, and against all the laws that our country was founded upon. Laws that still read, MURDER is illegal! Assuming the majority of our world still believes murder is wrong, we must ask ourselves what can we do to prevent Terri's situation from happening to another individual? How can we seek justice for Terri and see to it that the four people who are responsible for the 14 days of her inhumane killing are brought to legal justice? "

We must not forget -- there has to be an investigation, which starts with the circumstances leading up to Terri's collapse in the first place, and examining all of Judge Greer's rulings and his his tangled web of relationships with Felos and euthanesia groups, and to make sure that this will never happen to anyone again.

The complete lack of regard for human life in this situation leaves me speechless.....
... Terri's spirit will always haunt those of us who know it was wrong...

Thanks for posting this article. I am one of the thousands who finds themselves lying awake at night, still thinking about Terri and asking myself how is it possible, how did they get away with murdering a young woman by denying her food and water. I lie there and cannot go back to sleep, and I am an Australian, not an American. I cannot imagine how the US will come to terms with this evil deed.

Pie in the sky....Given the gutless legislators in this country. Just exactly how is that going to happen?

I think about it every day and pray that God has mercy on our nation, because of the faithful still in it.

Former President Nixon would have never had needed to resign if Peter Rodino had had the same lack of backbone exhibited by our Congress when Judge Greer, with full contempt of Congress, simply ignored their subpoenas and acted to obstruct their legitimate investigative function.

The ability of Michael Schiavo to proceed through this with no scrutiny was appalling! Why was there never any investigation into her innjuries, especially when the reports indicated 'healing bone' injuries? 26 yr. old women don't have healing bone injuries from a fall to the floor, even if she did have a mild heart attack, which was ruled out, if you recall. It seesm that the husband really wanted the diagnosis of heart attack to prevent further examination...and when it was ruled out, why did no one proceed to examine further? This is an outrage!

Get over it. You'll die one day too, hopefully more quickly than Terri.

Reality Guardianship Murders

Ouch. That's about the level of understanding a good percentage of the American public has for this issue.

Thanks for the post. Great article. It's the same battle that has been going on for thousands of years...the innocent vs. the criminal, the individual vs. the collective.

The four people who comfortably watched Terri slowly have the life sucked out of her...

Not to mention all the police who protected them, and the governor who respected them.

BOOKMARKED. It was a horrific experience whether witnessing first hand or following on the internet or the MSM.

It was so horrific that I'll never forget. Our leaders failed Terri. Future elections will not be straight ticket affairs.

Are GOPers pro-life or pro-death? Too bad we can't trust the GOPers to be pro-life.

The current silence of the President and The Congress who first tried to save her life speaks volumes.

Are they ashamed that they merely did their duty to protect every innocent American from murder???

This is not going to be a NORMAL grieving process for Terri and her family because it wasn't a NORMAL death. It was a MURDER. Not by gangsters, or career criminals, or the USUAL SUSPECTS, but by people who should have been Terri's protectors.

It is going to take the Schindlers a LONG while to digest, let alone accept, what AMERICA LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE did to their daughter/sister and thus to their family. It is going to take a long while for many of us as well.

Thousands who were against Terri's killing claim they find themselves awake at all hours of the night trying to come to terms with what happened to Terri. Many state they are suffering from overwhelming depression, frustration, and feelings of powerlessness.

Translated: losers with no lives got obbsessed with something that was none of their business, it didn't go their way, and they don't know how to cope with reality.

"I personally refuse to accept the notion that we have become a barbaric society living amongst many others like George Felos, Michael Schiavo, George Greer, and Deborah Bushnell." | Cheryl Ford, RN

Cheryl, accept it or not, the evidence that says we are is there. Also there is/was a large segment on this forum that supported her murder.

What you wittnessed was the solving of the social security, medicare aand medicade crisis.

Acceptance may be an important part of grief, but we must never accept what happened to Terri.

My anger will continue until my dying day.

How can such barbarity exist in the United States is a question that remains unanswered.

You know; where I work we've taken care of many babies who were brain damaged due to an in-utero accident which cut for blood supply to the brain, or due to a difficult birth.

Guess how they are treated? They get g-tubes; their parents are taught how to care for them, and they go home with a very poor prognosis. There never is an option to starve and dehydrate them since they will be such a burden to their families.

And the parents love them and give them GREAT care. Not easy, but life is not always predictable or "fair".
