HYATTSVILLE, Md. - A nun who was ordered by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger to stop ministering to gays and lesbians called his election as pope "devastating" for those who believe the Catholic Church needs to be more tolerant on social issues such as homosexuality. advertisement Sister Jeannine Gramick said the choice of Ratzinger, who as the Vatican's guardian of doctrine silenced her and Father Robert Nugent in a 1999 order, will likely prevent the church from "moving into the 21st century and out of the Middle Ages." The last married Pope was Peter

You mean Peter, the man who Jesus himself made head of his Church?

You do know that Scrappleface's coverage of Kerry's reaction to Pope Benedict was a spoof, no?

"I'm just curious as to why they didn't pick a younger conservative as pope. This guy is only going to be around for a few years and we'll have to do this whole thing over again."

Word is they want to pick older guys from now on to intentionally limit their papal terms. Not sure why though.

Him putting the "smack down" on her had NOTHING to do with her support of pedophiles, but instead because she chose to reach out to homosexuals

Same difference, actually.

(whether you want to believe it or not are just as much Gods children as you are).

Sure they are. But those who practice the sin of unrepentant homosexual acts have said "non serviam" to God. They need the kind of ministry that Courage provides, not Sr. Gramick's feel-good toleration of the intolerable.

"You have heard it said 'Do not commit adultery' but I say, everyone who looks at a woman and lusts after her has already committed adultery in his heart".

Exactly. So does that make you an adulterer?

As for me, I go to confession .... often.

Those who disagree with the selection should consider breaking away and forming their own brand of Religion based on what they believe in.

Right. Those who want married priests, women priests, artificial contraception and approval of sodomy should join the Episcopal Church. They have all those things. Besides, they have better hymns than we Catholics do.

With the MSM waiting anxiously for an interview, like a teenybopper outside a rock concert.

As usual the media will go out looking for Anybody that disagrees
with any decision regarding Religion that does not support a Gay agenda.
