Firsthand reports from days 5 and 6 of Minuteman Project -- The Minuteman Project takes this to a whole new level. There will be no denying that the border traffic can be stopped if there is someone there with the will to actually stop it.

I know that the Bushbots think we're just bashing Bush. No. This isn't a game to us. They should remember those links you ran to support the war in Iraq. If anything, we are trying to spare the GOP a painful defeat, one they would deserve if they continue to neglect border safety during our war on terror.

Exactly.
( And I thank you for remembering my previous work- I've supported the President from the beginning, I've criticized him when I think he is wrong, and I think he started off on the wrong foot on this subject. )

This "issue" is flying under the radar because politicians and the press don't want to talk about it ( for whatever reasons ) but that does not mean it isn't out there, and on people's minds. My nominally Democrat wife is incensed about illegal aliens. Why? In the last year, nearly every house south of us has filled up with immigrants, and as the old joke goes, "there went the neighborhood..." She sees- correctly- that we'll never, ever get back what we put in this house since 1987-- it's a pocketbook issue for her. For me, it's quality of life- I don't care for the packs of immigrants, cars, and dogs roaming the neighborhood at all hours, the noise, five cars and trucks-- all brand new- parked on the grass in front of every house... houses which have, incidently, at least one and often three brand-new satellite dishes sprouting from roof and lawn. And every one of 'em has a cell phone- but the houses seem to lack landlines-- draw what conclusions you will from this, but it is not a pretty, or flattering, picture. It's downright ugly.

It's not funny, quaint, or amusing any longer, and politicians ignore it at their own peril.

Report from a Minuteman Project "Minutewoman" just back from the Front Lines --  Her name is Robin. She and her husband, Edward, have four children. They came to our Minuteman post requesting that Minutemen be stationed on their nearby property. Robin said she hears gunshot every night on her ranch. Has no idea exactly where it is coming from.
Since the Minutemen arrived, the gunshots have stopped.
Go Minutemen!

Undocumented Border Patrol Target Undocumented Immigrants (Liberal Rant on Minutemen) -- The Minutemen have been a success, by merely drawing attention to our borders.
But I never thought I'd see the day, when American citizens were called racists, white supremacists, vigilantes, etc. merely for reporting border hoppers with binoculars and cell phones.

Report of Some Activities of Day 10 of the Minuteman Project -- You want to help? Burn the ears off congress, your governor and even your local officials. Say the illegal immigration problem is the most significant issue in the coming election and parties and candidates are going to lose their support if they support illegal immigration. Actually go to the offices of your elected officials with a group of people and have a nice sit down meeting with them. Tell them you want as part of the public record, your complaint that they are violating their oath of office by not acting to protect the American people from this invasion. At every public meeting, be sure to make sure your comments are included in the public record.

I've been exchanging emails with Barton.

I am not impressed with him, or the fact that he used the MM for his agenda.
