Hey FReepers- I am a sophomore in high school. For English class, I have to write a debatable paper, and I have chosen to write on the various negative effects of homosexuality and the homosexual movement on American society. I was wondering if you could direct me towards some credible sources on the subject- including a list of laws passed for/against homosexuality, opinions, stats, etc. Your opinions are welcome too- all's fair in an opinionative paper ;) Thank.
I don't care and their beliefs aren't from any religion I can think of, maybe you can tell me which one.
Your damning of their wedding and religion was arrogant.
It wasn't a wedding. I don't know what religion they are practicing, but if they claim it's Christianity, they are fooling themselves. And you I guess.
This started when I said you can't paint millions with the same brush as others here do regularly.
I didn't do anything in the past, so talk to the "others" if you have a beef with them.
If you think I've joined some left-winged plot to normalize anything, well, enjoy your fantasy.
I never said that and I have no fantasy.
That's you doing what you said you didn't do.
I'm going to call our friends and tell them that wedding was not real, despite the great music and food (you know how those people are) and if it's okay I'll quote you.
You sure persist in wanting people's religion to confirm to yours for some one who doesn't care. Don't you see the arrogance in that position. The fact that you're bewildered is not their problem, it's yours.
That's you doing what you said you didn't do.
You may want to read more carefully. You and the PC people on the left may want to do the same thing, but I never said you were joining them. Merely that you might have the same goal.

The wedding was a party to celebrate the sexual liason between two homosexuals. I'm glad it was fun for you. You can certainly quote me if you like.

It's not a religion. I asked you which one, you haven't answered.
Don't you see the arrogance in that position.
No.
The fact that you're bewildered is not their problem, it's yours.
I'm not bewildered and I have no problem. Neither do they I guess. Except it might be a small problem for some to live in a dream world, where Homos pretend they are married and normal, and where a child is taught that two women who have abnormal sex are both mommies when only one is a person who conceived a child out of wedlock.
A wedding is not a wedding.
He knows a religion when he sees one.
He knows the real purpose of the wedding.
People live in a dream world.
The next time I go to a wedding, I'll ask the minister which denomination they are. Sorry, I didn't know there was a test.
Have fun!
A wedding is a wedding. But a party for homosexuals is not a wedding just because they say so.
He knows a religion when he sees one.
Yep, name the one they are in and we'll take a look at it to see if it is one. You keep ducking the question.
He knows the real purpose of the wedding.
As a matter of fact I do. It's to ask God's blessing on a joining of a man and a woman to glorify God's purposes on earth. God does not bless sinful arrangements.
People live in a dream world.
Anyone who believes the goofy stuff that you claim these people believe does. Alternately, they might be insane. I vote dream world for this pair.
The next time I go to a wedding, I'll ask the minister which denomination they are.
Why? Curious? Not a bad question though, then you will know if it's Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or whatever else.
Sorry, I didn't know there was a test.
Ya learn something every day.
Thankee... you will be directly quoted in my paper... and I'm alright with an F...

Thanks - I just saw this.
