Just heard a "this just in" flash on KFI AM640 in Los Angeles that the police in Las Vegas have executed a search warrant on the home of the woman who found a finger in her Wendy's chili. Police suspect the finger may that of the woman's dead aunt.

Looks like he's been on here since 1998. Sleeper cell?

You managed to figure that out all on your own? Yep sleeper cell that must be it. It is polite when you are trashing someone to include thier name so they can respond. Don't bother responding to my other message, go shove some wasabi up where the sun don't shine clown.

She should NOT get off with community service--she must do hard time--if she put that finger in there.

If the finger doesn't fit, you must acquit!!!!!!

"The issue is not always about "the movement", and the movement is not always about the "issue.""

I am halfway through Francis Fukuyama's "The End of History and the Last Man" for the second time in many years. He covers what you are talking about. History, philosophy, science since man's written history. I only can make a 20% connection to it all. So many concepts that it may take 4 readings of almost 400 pages to get to a 51% connection possibility to light a bulb for me for the overall work.

Up until "the pill", real replacements were at a much higher rate than 1.2 - 1.5, even during the times of much higher infant mortality rates. I think you're being overly generous with 20 year intervals. Rhetorical question, how many first cousins do you have? How many 2nd cousins? 3rd, do you even know?

We talking an imported finger or do you think it was a domestic product? Big chunks of the world population could be excluded with limited criteria. IMO, leaving them all in would skew the numbers.

She's in trouble now. Her uncle's going to want to give her a knuckle sandwich.

Having worked at a Wendy's and with a wife who has been a Wendy's manager -

The "Chili Meat" as it's called is primarily left over hamburger meat. The meat that doesn't sell within a prescribed time (the standard is to not allow the meat to dry out on the grill) is placed in a pan of water. When the pan is full, it is covered and put in the cooler. When it's time to make chili, the pans of meat are drained and chopped into "pea" size or smaller bits. The meat is then boiled again to remove as much fat/grease as possible. Then the Chili is put together according to the company recipe.

To be fair, plenty of Freepers think crime is nonexistent and that victims are either lying or bring it on themselves.

Did you read The Other by Thomas Tryon?

Man, that was a scary book! The movie didn't even compare.

I've seen that before, but I still laughed so hard I almost cried. First time I read it, people from all over my office came over wondering what the heck was so funny that I'd fallen out of my chair and couldn't stop laughing.

Maybe the aunt was visiting a friend at the meat packing plant, was fiddling with equipment while waiting for her friend's shift to end, cut off her finger, was too embarrassed to tell anyone, went home and died shortly after that and it was by shear coincidence that the niece just happened to be served the bowl of chili that the finger eventually found its way into....It could have happened that way you know.

If I need a lawyer, I'll call you.
