Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.
I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.
There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.
The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.
I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.
Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.
I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.
I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.
PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.
HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.
Thanks, FV
He is STILL fighting for justice folks, and we can support him by sending him an e-mail or calling him at 202-225-5951 and telling him thank you for fighting against activist judges
"(DeLay)
We can also support him by sending emails and calling our own senators and congressmen - no matter who they are - and letting them know we expect them to support this! They need to know we are out here - and we are mad - and we've HAD IT!.
(When it comes right down to it, each one of them is more concerned about their own hides and getting reelected. Especially the libs - they'd eat their own for self gain)"
I agree and have done so. I hope many will join us in this effort.
We spent so much time to save Terri, and rightfully so, so let's spend some time helping DeLay fight for possibly millions of lives in the future by getting rid of activist judges.
"As long as this group promotes RALLIES and PROTESTS (not vigils) to support their efforts for justice for Terri, and invites a true COALITION of people and organizations deeply disturbed and concerned by Terri's MURDER, (and NOT just RELIGIOUS people and organizations on the RIGHT), I will honorably and proudly lend my effort to their cause.
This cannot appear to be an effort established by only the religious right. Otherwise our legislators will ignore the efforts and the findings."

BUMP to your post. I totally agree. Being murdered by a judiciary should be a concern to everyone, regardless of religion, race, creed, etc.
Disabled people have been supporting Terri -- and healthy people need to understand, that any one of us could be a moment away from joining the ranks of the disabled.
Schiavo Protesters Not All Christian Conservatives
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=domesticNews&storyID=7977535
"Eleanor Smith of Decatur, Georgia, sat on Tuesday in a motorized wheelchair in front of the hospice, baking in the sun, with a sign on her lap reading, "This agnostic liberal says 'Feed Terri."'
Her background was a far cry from the evangelical right wing more generally seen as the lobbying force behind the U.S. Congress' scramble over the weekend to draw up a special law to try to prolong Schiavo's life, and President Bush's decision to cut short a Texas vacation to sign it.
Smith, 65, had polio as a child and described herself as a lesbian and a liberal who had demonstrated before in support of the disabled and causes supported by the conservative establishment's archfoe, the American Civil Liberties Union.
"What drew me here is the horror of the idea of starving someone to death who's vulnerable and who has not asked that to happen," Smith said.
She said she thought that people who left written instructions to withhold medical treatment should have those wishes honored but that withholding water and nutrition from Terri Schiavo, who left no such written instructions, was tantamount to murder.
"At this point I would rather have a right-wing Christian decide my fate than an ACLU member," Smith said."
See Post #1307 for phone numbers and fax numbers to call Tom DeLay. and tell him thanks for fighting judicial tyranny.
Also, please call your congresspersons and U.S. senators, and tell THEM to fight for Tom Delay.

Everyone here should be aware of this forum. www.clownposse.org seems to have a real problem with FReepers and has been making some downright libelous statements and posts. Check it out
Randall Terry arranged the bus trips to Tallahassee, not the group you mentioned.
We had a poster here who either worked at the hospice...pretty sure it was labyak or even felos...that poster got banned under the name snapperjk or something or other, but came back a few days later..then we saw with name 'compassionate' spelled backwards as a screenname here...etanoissapmoc...or something like that is posting under that name at the clown posse web site...this person posted that Terri had died 25 minutes before the press had it. I did a timeline. spooky stuff. Worse...this is the 'can't see the forest for the trees' picture poster.
This person is a death mongor. Suggested that Terri be put out on the street by the protestors of her death sentence so that the others in the hospice could have quiet in their loved ones final moments, the other guests in the death house.
Can't you just picture people like this sucking in the last breath of someone, orgasmic in their delerium, thrilled at their power to kill?
I no longer trust the hospice organization and am thrilled that it is going to undergo a top to bottom investigation.
The Republicans abandoned her or ordered her cruel, immoral death and they will pay a price for it.
Did any of you watch Hannity's interview with Ms. Travolta/Kelly Preston?
Mrs. Scientology.. is sponsoring a bill in Florida to allow parents the right to choose if their child should be placed on Psychotropic drugs like Ritlin, etc.
Says children are not given Psychiatric tests proving the need. Says children are being overdosed, etc. without knowing the cause. She said: INVESTIGATE THAT, while twisting in her seat. Evidently she was referring to Hannity's involvement with Terri's case and Scientology.
Anyway, I'm very suspicious of this one.. Scientologists would probably suggest emotional tone therapy as substitute for drugs to include an "Emotional Tone Scale" programing. Through their ideas of recorded emotional tones, they could possibly blame Christian children and or teachers in School as contributing to the deliquency (low emotional influence) of their programed children.
Weren't Scientologists run out of Germany with their Drug Treatment programs?

WOW, such a dissapointment in all of our leaders. Like i said before, I will never put my faith in any of them, only God. I will encourage and hope our leaders fight for us, but when they fail it won't surprise me one bit!
Well, the only way to find good leaders is through trial and error it appears, especially in Florida. I will ask anyone who runs for anything here the Terri question. If they refuse to answer, I won't vote for them. If they were okay with her starvation murder, I won't vote for them. That's how I vote from now on. and the Pinellas GOP forget them. They are filthy rich fat cats and they are all up to their eyeballs in Terri being murdered.
Call or/and or e-mail your U.S. Senators, tell them you want them to vote to end a filibuster by a simple majority as the Constitution requires.
Should the Senate fail to conform to the Constitution's rule of a simple majority, a minority of 40 liberal Senators can use the filibuster to force their agenda on every American. Get your friends to call.
The NEW toll-free number is 1-877-762-8762! If that's busy, you can call this toll number (202-224-3121) or
your U.S. senators at their individual numbers (or contact them by FAX).
Ask to speak with your Senator. When finished leaving your message, call your other Senator.
==>BUT if you don't have much time, and want to end the filibusters for judicial nominees, click here:

There is a formula, and I THINK it goes like this:
If you e-mail, it counts it as 10 voters.
If you call, it counts it as 50 voters.
If you write a letter, it counts it as 100 voter, but send letters to local office because of Anthrax scare in D.C.
If you go in person, it counts it as 500 voters.
"Randall Terry arranged the bus trips to Tallahassee, not the group you mentioned."
Mari's group was collecting the money for the bus trip. We donated to it, along with bail money. OerationsSaveAmerica knew she was collecting the money. The groups were working together with Randall Terry. We also gave directly to Chet Gallagher and another one of the pastors. They were all working together. We also gave money directly for the bond to bail one of the symbolic protestors out of jail.
Don't want anyone to miss these great articles!
Terri ping to 1166! If anyone would like to be added to or removed from my Terri ping list, please let me know by FReepmail!
Groups like Feminists for Life, whose spoke's person is Patricia Heaton, ALSO spoke out on Terri's behalf. And there are others.
Thank you for the link.
I am hopeful that the Schindlers understand this as well.
Terri ping to 1201! If anyone would like to be added to or removed from my Terri ping list, please let me know by FReepmail!
DeLay deserves our support. We should urge the rest of the US Congress to support him too.
Inquiry ordered on Schiavo case (by Tom Delay)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1384033/posts
"Tom DeLay, the U.S. House of Representatives majority leader, intensified his crusade against judges, announcing that he had ordered the Judiciary Committee to investigate court decisions in the Terri Schiavo case."
I was informed last week that the sick organization (but growing in power...the group that formed to defend bill clinton against impeachment and called itself 'MOVE ONE' as in move on from MONICE LEWINSKY, ick, has a...
HUGE PHONE BANK GOING...CALLING ALL THE OFFICES OF THE CONGRESS AND SENATE and not only dissing tom delay (wanting him gone) but is slaming the social security reform that would allow the poor to access the same wealth builders that the congress enjoys with their retirement funds.
MOVE ON is having THOUSANDS call...we HAVE TO CALL OUR CONGRESS PEOPLE AND SENATORS....EACH OF US!
We have done it before...the LISTS are being kept in each office...pro and con....WE HAVE TO DO THIS!
I called and gave Frist the voicemail of my life! Told him that you cannot be a leader and worry about popularity. That if his presidential aspirations are causing him to play it safe, then he is man WILLING to hurt his NATION for his own benefit. I told him to TAKE A CLUE form PResident BUsh and ACT on the strength of his convictions...that we need good judges on the BENCH NOW!
I hope you're feeling better after the strep throat. As for feeling like you see everything after Terri in a whole new light, you betcha. You have LOTS of company. It isn't depression. It is an awakening. Like scales fell off your eyes and now you can see things so clearly for the first time, and it wasn't what you pictured when the scales were there. That's what it's been like for me.
Like Luv2lurkhere says in his/her tagline, "Terri changed everything." So true, so simple, so profound.
