I stumbled across this website and its forum by chance. I must say that i whole heartedly appreciate all the support the people on this site give to my people.
I'm kurdish and i live in London, my family had no choice but to leave my land because of my fathers activities as a peshmerga commander. we came to britain in 1989 and i have been here ever since. my people have sacrificed alot for freedom and to undo the injustice that was written into the 1923 treaty of Lausanne that denied my peoples identity.
i would like all of you in america to know that the kurdish people are fully behind you and we believe in ridding to world, not just our land, of terrorism.
my father was assasinated by islamic terrorist in 2003 just before the war and his only dream was to see if not all of kurdistan free from oppression at least kurdistan in iraq. unfortunately he was killed before the liberation of iraq. but i know if he were alive now he would be in the front line against terrorism. he had many american friends because his job was to fight islamic terrorist who had the nerve to call my people infidels. why? because we believe in democracy and that islam is a peacefull religion that should be practiced by people themselves instead of trying to impose on others.
Again i thank you all and i will look in now and again to see any new developements. THANKS AMERICA from Your kurdish friend. Xabat (struggle)
God bless you, KP.

Welcome! Great to have you!
Welcome and thanks for your post.
We appreciate the Kurds, we know that you are very pro-US and Pro-Democracy and helped us and are still helping us in Iraq.
I am glad that the Kurds are the second majority in the new Iraqi government.
You are a courageous people.
I hope you will stay around, read and post -- we welcome information and insight which you may have, that the media doesn't talk about.

Once you have waded through these, you will be a dyed-in-the-wool Freeper, and will be able to make Moose/cheese jokes with the best of them.
My hope is that the Kurds will become the defenders of Chaldean Christians, Jews, and other religious minorities in Iraq. Having been a persecuted minority, Kurds above all others in that nation should be the aegis of those who are persecuted.
Welcome to FR!
Always Faithful
Americans support the independence for Kurdistan. If Turkey continues to harass the Kurds in Turkey, let's hope our government will liberate the Kurds from the Ottoman Empire.
I'm glad somebody is coming aboad, what with all the disgruntled souls who are leaving.
Welcome newb! God bless you! If you need help, just yell. I gua-ran-tee you'll become like this site. And become addicted to it. And fall in love. And marry...

What a nice post, sorry to hear about your father's death. With all the people who are leaving (so I hear) it is nice to see a new person joining. And always good to have folks from overseas to add to the discussion.
