My opus from FR? Not.
04/01/2005 | Sender

Posted on 04/01/2005 5:17:45 PM PST by Sender

Some long-time valuable posters have announced their opus to leave FR today. Well I don't. This is my family, this is my home. I may have serious disagreements with other posters and may occasionally be discouraged at the direction FR is heading. But I am not a quitter. I am staying right here, right where the center of the action is, and I will never quit. So what if others post offensive comments or views? It's a free country. Anyhow, I'm not leaving, and there is no opus. I'm ready to take on the 21st century and drag it kicking and screaming over to our side. Long live the bastion of news and free speech, Free Republic!

Oh,I see, you're a LePer. Why don't you just go there and stay there? :-)

And FWIW, those I call political naifs ARE political naifs are worse. Far too many people here, including you, talk about topics they know less than nothing at all about. They neither know nor understand the first thing about politics.

And it is and always has been usual, here on FR, to call out newbies.

We have weathered this before - and we will again - that's what conservatism is all about.

And .. if people think this is bad - they should have been here in 2000 when Bush was running for President - WHOA! It was gruesome. But what I told everybody - is what I learned from that experience.

I think you've got it. I've been preaching against engaging the FlameWarriors over the past day. I'm trying, and I have appologized to everyone I might have rubbed the wrong way.

I say you should ignore any flame bait.

I think it would be impossible to let people act like animals in one section of the site, and have them shape up to go back to another section.

I strolled over to conservative usenet group, found this in the first thread I checked, I replaced the hi with **

so, why the hell are the religious fruitcases so upset about Terry dying. They should get down on their knees and THANK her husband, because as the religious fruitcases say, she is with the great, glorious creator, god the s**thole now.

Yup this are really bad a FR. /NOT

I've never figured out why posters who have been on FR since 1998 think everyone is supposed to agree with them simply because they have been here since the beginning.

If I would have registered with FR when I first happened upon it in early December of '97, not only would you have to agree with everything I say, you'd also be required to LOL at all my stupid jokes.

The handful that are registered in Nov. '97 require you to ROTFLMAO at their silly antics and anything Jim Rob posts that hints at humor requires that you ROTFLMAOWPIP.

I'm a bit disappointed. I remember your description of the old days. The tradition of the Opus. Today's offerings didn't seem to live up to that famed history.

I'll fully admit I hit people hard in the heat of the moment. If the topic had been which Bond portrayer was better, it would have been over the top. Considering the subject was and remains Life, the subject matter itself calls for Passion.

I got hits in return on each end. I believe what occured was no less than an execution ordered by the Judiciary, but I also defied the sentiment that suggested the president and his brother are murderers.

Some people are too sensitive.

Actually the highlight that made me laugh in the midst of this was a cartoon of a fight among Republicans. State rights! Pro-Life! It listed all the arguments being shouted the past week. I found a minute of appreciation for that cartoon. In the midst of this fight conservatives were vital..alive. Free range of expression, passion and thought. Isn't that what politics should be? On the other end Democrats were largely silent. Irrelevant. They might as well have been dead themselves for the little Life they showed in a pivotal moment of our nation's history.

Here you go, I feel your pain

My Opus to WarmNFuzzy.com

I have had it with this site, warmNFuzzy and stand for NOTHING is it is going to allow ANYONE to reply to me in an unWarmNFuzzy fashion. What the hell is gong on here? Why aren’t the moderators pulling post that disagree with my articulate, well thought out perfect in every fuzzy way posts. Someone needs to wake the owner of this site up, before an open free wheeling debate happens! But I won’t see it, because I am a real WarmNFuzzy person not a Fuzzy In Name Only and I am leaving, you so called Fuzzies, would not recognize a real Fuzzy if it laid down in front of you and said “come on big boy”.

I am also Fuzmailing my FuzzyFriends and we all going to get the Fuzz out of this Fuzed up site, Fuzz you to Fuzzing all like this site.

I have been a Fuzzy for a long time, so my lose will be so great the WarmNFuzzy will cease to exist, it will Fizzle without me.

The Fonz

damn I need to proof read better, lots of typos, my excuse is I am an old WarmNFuzzy person with bad eyes. I am also dylestic and english is not my strong suit. Plus my finger to do type what I think. I think one word and type an entirely diferent word it's too weird. Sometime I can't even read what I typed!

Got any photographic evidence to back up that opinion? :)

I will not comment as I might get my door kicked in by a pair of jackboots.

The two folks who left today were valuable additions to this forum for many years. I will indeed miss their insights.

Ridiculing them does not help things, in my opinion, given their stated reasons for leaving.
