Don't you get it? When Clinton did it it was bad. When Bush does the exact same thing it is okay.

New pledge of allegiance:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United Nations in New York, and to the World Court tyranny, for which it stands, one world, under secular humanism, with government-regulated liberty and court-appointed justice for all non-PVS individuals who managed to survive their partial birth abortions."

W is not going to win a war against the culture of death. There are too many of them.

The ones that get me are those who say we're all Nazis and the U.S. is as evil as Nazi Germany. You know I see the exact and I mean EXACT same quotes on DU all the time. Amazing isn't it?

Not cool. Not cool at all.
To: oldcomputerguy
I didn't. Alan Keyes wrote up a good explanation of what could be happening in Florida. One possible explanation is that Jeb and his staff don't understand the Florida Constitution or that he is being ill advised.
Are you really trying to equivocate a critical analysis of the reasoning on one side of a debate with calling someone one by an epithet?

How about you keep the immigration crap to the countless immigration threads.

Now, the attention and the blame remains where it should . . . on the failed and overreaching courts of the State of Florida. And when the courts overreach who brings them back? The courts themselves?
It is up to the legislative and executive branches to provide checks and balances.
They failed.

He started to say something meaningful about valuing life and used it as a segue into foreign policy and intelligence. It was an effin joke.
But, I didn't expect much more than that anyhow. Images of the Tories of 1770s Boston come to mind--trust in procedure, hope for the best, and accept the worst routinely. When all else fails--no matter how many laws are broken or injustices that occur--scream"we are a nation of laws, not men!"
Pathetic.
But I suppose its what we get by consistently having to vote party over principle ain't it?

Join a disability rights group. I suggest you go to Not Dead Yet's website, they have excellent resources. The press was very silent on the fact that Terri's issue was a disability rights issue. They called it a right to die issue and mislead many people. Read the Friends of Court brief filed by advocates for the disabled. It was not a Right to Die issue. Hell why do we need a Right to Die don't we all do it sooner or later?

No, you forgot to mention Shiavo's lawyer with his right to death activism. I would not be surprised if Felos sought out Shiavo for a client, much like the ACLU does.

I hope all these people saying they'll never vote for a Republican again enjoy President Hillary. They probably didn't vote for him in the first place anyway.
The number of people who will become Republicans because their cause was just will outnumber those who "fall from grace".
To: EternalVigilance
I've left the GOP, and won't be going back. Where are you going to go? You would rather elect those people who acted in concert to kill Terri than those who tried to prevent it, because those who lost his fight chose not to go outside the law? So you would rather elect her killers so they can increase their political power instead of supporting those who tried to prevent her killing? Are you on drugs?

This Michael Savage is saying the same thing that it's Bush's fault and that this marks the end of his presidency. What exactly could he have done at this point when a judge makes a ruling and all the appeal courts say that he did not usurp his discretion.
I mean what is the president supposed to do. Congress agreed also.
I think the loonies that are starting to come out are the ones amongst us who up until just a few days ago still thought highly of our president.
This is not about poor Terri anymore. This is about the need to reform our court system which is abusing its power.
If there is anything positive in her death then perhaps it is for that and to once again impress on men and women their contract of marriage. THe husband's view of his marriage vow is despicable.
