He started to say something meaningful about valuing life and used it as a segue into foreign policy and intelligence.

I wasn't expecting this at all. I have to say I am pretty disappointed.

" Prime Time speech on the death of Terri Schiavo would be the worst possible thing W could do. "

Agreed.

I would be nervous too if I was disabled. We need to get those laws changed!

Wait until they start griping that his comments are about more than Terri -- not allowed by some of these people.

Why is he talking about our intelligence and terrorism?

The purpose of the press conference was to discuss the release of the WMD report. That's why all those people are gathered around him.

NAw, I like Bush. I usually like the way things turn out with him though at times for the life of me I can't figure out what he's doing. Not always, the CFR for example, but usually.

We're heading for a battle royale over judges, it's right around the corner, and I can't wait to see what happens. He should about have all his guns in position waiting to fire. The Schiavo Murder may be just the Casus Belli he needs to declare war on the deathrat fillibusterers.

In thinking about the repulsion of the general population to Congress's intervention in the Schiavo matter. I wonder if much of it wasn't a reaction to a perceived undue influence of religion into politics.

Yes.
Those who live will vote for life.
The dead will vote for death.

The sheep are being separated from the goats, and it does affect politics. The army of the Antichrist will build on one side, the army of God on the other. It's not so much a physical war as it is a war of spiritual values, i.e., good vs. evil /right vs. wrong/truth vs. lie.

"Pyro," short not for "pyromaniac," but for "pyrotechnics." ;-)

Absolutely. Bill Bennet also wrote a BRILLIANT article on this topic in National Review on Line.

They would have gone in with the military if necessary and killed anyone who stood in their way. Rule of law and the Costitution be dammed.

Thank God they did NOT do that.

I hope they do too. If I was disabled I would be frightened to death right now. We need to help them get the laws changed!

I have not nor am I advocating violence, however the county judge is the one who the "damned" the Constitution and there was no other judge from the bottom up who straightened out his error.

Thirty seconds on Terri Schiavo and the rest on cover-your-ass on intelligence.

President talking about terrorist threats.

Meanwhile, judges at home just killed an innocent woman.

Have you ever seen so many idiots in your life! Don't you love how it is a collective "we" that did this. Like being in a hospital and having a nurse say "we" have to get our shot now.

Just wait for the slams to start because the President is talking about the Commission on WMD's.
