I just received a phone call from my mother, tgslTakoma. She's at the DC Chapter counterprotest of Code Pink at Walter Reed.
tgsl says: We arrived carrying American flags and signs supporting the troops at 8 PM on the northeast corner of Walter Reed. The Code Pinkos arrived around 9 on their corner. Gail arrived and saw the FReepers on their corner, and we can only assume that she made a few phone calls. After we unfurled our MOAB (Mother Of All Banners), the Pinkos got upset and sent over 2 goons to stand in front of us, Later another one came. The three questionable characters arrived, one man saying he wants to kill "ragheads" and another one with a sign that says "Kill the poor." This second somewhat androgenous character just told me that he likes to eat bodies. This man says he was in the 351st airborne based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. I called police at 9:24 and 9:29 and they said they'd send the next available unit. The police have yet to arrive.
Hope someone has a videocamera to document all this.
There is no 351st Airborne and the only military installation near Chattanooga is an Army Ammo Plant. Tell the pinko he'll be getting a visit from some vets that can't stand wannabes.
The police officer says the man who threatened to shoot mom and the rest of the Freepers did nothing wrong unless he brandished or used the gun. The Freepers are safe, no thanks to the cops, Mom says.
DC's finest at work. That's why I stay out of DC.
Tell your mom to tell the cops the guy is fleeing with the Krispy Kreme donuts....that might get them moving.....:-)

I know Takoma Park from a time when you could find a fair number of "good ol' boys" to drink beer with there. Today, it's as foreign as France and your Mom's a brave lady to stay there and stand her ground.

Mom says she's staying until the permit expires, at 11 tonight. I'm sure she'll be fine, I have a feeling the Pinkos will need to worry about safety if they try anything violent. There are other around too, just as upset as she is.
I'll have to remember when I call the police to tell them I've seen a gun, otherwise they'll shoot the breeze for a while before helping me.
Gee, too bad we aren't liberals. We could call it a cosmic harmonic mental convergence moment, hit the new age lecture circuit, make some money. Might even get a govt grant too.

One of the Pinkos came to take a picture of the MOAB and is denying knowing the nutcases who came over earlier. I guess playing dumb just comes naturally to them. She asked about the man with the gun.
Kristinn told the woman "the next time you send some of your people over to cause trouble with us, you'd better frisk them and be sure that they dont have guns, because the next time you send somebody over to cause trouble,we will sue you for conspiracy, anbd we will bankrupt code pink and global exchange, and we will take all Susie Murphy's daddy's money."
The woman still denies knowing the man. I guess an empty mind is easy to erase at will.

Figures. Now if it was the other way around, they would have arrested you on sight and thrown the book at you. Glad you are safe and have pics. Obviously if they changed clothes they were experienced operators.
I don't think I could do protests. I'm too blue collar, too confrontational. I don't think I'd back down, and that'd probably be the death of me.
Typical of the left, just like sKerry's campaign, rather than talk about what's good about them, attack the opposition. Make us look just as bad as they are, talk about hypocracy.
