Figures. Now if it was the other way around, they would have arrested you on sight and thrown the book at you. Glad you are safe and have pics. Obviously if they changed clothes they were experienced operators.
I don't think I could do protests. I'm too blue collar, too confrontational. I don't think I'd back down, and that'd probably be the death of me.
Many of the vets who show up to support us get confrontational. Who can blame them? And you're right, these people are professional instigators.
hmmm - sounds like we both suffer from the "Billy Budd" syndrome - all action and no talk.
(Billy Budd is a novella by Herman Melville, who is most famous for his novel Moby Dick that was written some forty years earlier. Foretopman Billy Budd, to give the book its full title, was written in 1891 but was not published until 1924. It is the story of the handsome sailor Billy who, though a decent man, is treated badly by his master-at-arms called Claggart and strikes this nasty character down, killing him outright but unintentionally. The cause of this sorry circumstance is Billys stammer that prevents him from defending himself in words when he is wrongfully accused by Claggart. The tale follows his trial under Captain Vere and his subsequent hanging.)
