Michael Schiavo Supporters on "Hannity & Colmes"
Hannity & Colmes Show | Just Now | Me

Posted on 03/29/2005 6:35:37 PM PST by ozzymandus

Did anybody catch the 2 Michael Schiavo "supporters" on H&C tonight? They were a couple of typical hippie-hags from the far left, who said they went to Florida to counter-demonstrate against the Terri Schiavo supporters, who they called "religious Nazis". Colmes grovelled and slobbered all over them, but Hannity's first question, directed to one of the hags, was, "What does that say on your shirt?". She replied, "Revolutionary Communist Youth League". Brilliant, Alan, just brilliant.

If I said "Et tu, Brute" to these lukewarm FReepers who are showing their true faces this week, I've said it a hundred times

Yes, nothing like a 'real issue' to flush out all of the traitors to true-conservatism. And then there are the Neville Chamberlain types, nicey-nicey at any cost. Those who don't respect life will sell you out in a New York minute. Why wait wait to be stabbed in the back? "Et tu, Brute"

I don't think the moral of this story is going to be: what about all the other dying people in the hospice!
Anybody who is conservative and watched this unfold has had an absolute revelation about courts expanding their jurisdiction and encroaching unto the other 2 branches of government.

"I could be way off here, but as someone who's been critical of how some conservatives have been handling this, I have to admit that in the last few days I am detecting a rapid lowering of the jubilation of the democrats."

Well maybe the paralyzing fear of RAndall Terry will ease as well. Who knows who has been calling Terry, Hillry may like his fire and brimstone style. These top liberals are not laying low for nothing....

Did you get a chance to see him tonight? He was very clear and very good. I can't believe that MS supporters still say the Government should stay out of it. It is the Government who is starving Terri.

Colmes told Santorum that "American does not want him"- and he told Colmes that most Americans do not have the facts and when they do their opinions is changed.

He was very clear in his message about what Congress told Greer. And that Congress should be discussing Greers lack of attention to their message.

That is not the way to honor life, IMHO.

But starving and dehydrating does honor life? What warped values.

"I wonder if Judge Greer, after deciding that MS was to be Terri's legal guardian, ever visited Terri to see how she was doing.....?"

He never has laid eyes on her, never visited once.

A week ago I thought this might hurt the right, but I am getting a sense that over at DU, a lot of those vile grins are being wiped away as the American people, who thought (as I did at first) that this was a "take her off life support" story, instead of it being about starving and dehydrating a sick woman to death for the convenience of her husband, whose motives are questionable at best.

Quite so, as Terri is refusing to die quick.

What does it have to do with starving a woman to death? All the other stuff floating around is just gorilla dust. Is it ok to starve a disabled woman to death or not? One that had no living will.

I agree completely with your response to Peach. I think that tragedy will make it a lot more likely that GWB will get his judges confirmed.

No-he has never visted Terri and I believe that he has never even seen the video fottage. Beside that he is legally blind and probably pass the balloon test given to Terri himself. (speculation :] )

No one wanted to see Terri be denied her right to life...

Just denied food and water?

Really I think that Jeb allowing a helpless woman to die is an embarrassment and shameful.

Now it is all Jeb's fault for not being King with absolute authority over every branch of Govt.

This is just one more example of single issue hysteria leading the right to eat their own.
Guess you don't care that this will hurt Republicans and helps give power back to the left and the Dems than ANYTHING the Dems could have come up with.
Pathetic.

The law has ruled that the feeding tube can be removed. You may or may not argue that this is moral. That is your choice. The crux of the matter is she had no living will. If she had, there would be no question as to what her wishes were. You can not prove what they were. And because of that, the court decided. The end.
