If it's a tumor in your head, you'll soon be dead.

RIP Johnny- I heard a lot of good things about you on the news!

And he did on the news too. I remember that clip, he was carrying the bag and was walking to his car. The media tried to ask him questions but he kept walking and said I think "no comment.' I'm glad you reminded me of that, I think.

If Beethoven were alive today, he'd probably be clawing at his coffin trying to get out!

Nope. Too busy decomposing...

Is that why his 9th Symphony is still incomplete?

If the coffin does not fit, you must sit on it.

Mr. Johnny knowingly helped a horrific murderer get off, and not just by defending him as he had a right to either. I can't help feeling Ron and Nicole got a little bit of justice today. He takes the blood of Two young victims with him into eternity as far as I am concerned. Sorry, but I just can't feel bad about this.

The DVD of this could become a best seller.

So not saying nasty things when someone passes is now "honoring" someone?

Gimme a break...

I had this argument elsewhere tonight. "Why can't you be civil and respectful of the dead" begat "don't expect me to cry a river" begat "no one even came close to asking you to" became "he was a bastard. How dare you!" As if it's my fault! Where is decency in this world?

I have always heard that "If you can't say something nice about a dead person, say nothing".
NOTHING

At least on the day he's passing, anyway. Your mama and mine taught the same ways.

With all his talent and experience, Johnnie Cochrane rose to the top of his profession, and , without a doubt, was the World's Most Successful Liar. For the money.

There's more, though. He was a race-pimp, flagrantly playing that card in the OJ trial, and, what hasn't been mentioned in this thread before now, Ol' Johnnie was one of the the driving forces behind the Black Reparation effort, which is still underway, whose intent is to file a class-action lawsuit against all non-black citizens in the US for damages suffered by blacks since the days of slavery. Guess who would get a percentage of that money, if the suit had been/is successful?

Cochrane had no concern for what that suit would have done to race relations or to the country. He wanted the money.

So Cochrane's death is a good thing, IMO, since he won't be able to put his efforts into the Black Reparation effort any more, and we can all keep our money and not hate our neighbors.

"So every legal eagle that defends a person charged with murder and gets them acquitted should burn in hell? Clarify please."

By all means, let's give free reign to lawyers who do society irreparable harm by screaming racism and attacking the integrity of lawmen every time they want their clients to walk. Lawyers should have an ethical obligation not to take a case when they beleive themselves that their own client is guilty and they will be setting a killer free. At the very least, they should be held to a high standard of fact-finding and not libel everyone in sight- especially the victims...

You are correct. The cops did a lousy job and Marcia Clark was an incompetent prosecutor.

Does the name Rosa Lopez ring a bell.

Cochran lied thru his teeth, had witnesses coached to lie thru their teeth.

He used the race card, asking the black jury to 'send a message'.

They sent a message alright. Forever juries that ignore the evidence are referred to as OJ juries.......not something of which to be proud.

A lawyer is charged with making sure his client gets a fair trial.....not charged with fabricating a case so his client avoids justice.
