1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

The Forest And The Tree
Blessed is the man who endures temptation. -James 1:12
|
All of us have been so close to a temptation that we've lost our perspective. It may have involved something as small as a rumor that we knew shouldn't be passed along, but the urge to gossip blocked out our sense of love and good judgment. Adam and Eve faced a similar problem. They became so preoccupied with one plant in their garden paradise that they couldn't see the forest for the tree. Just look at what it cost them. The Garden of Eden had been created especially for them. In it they knew no evil, no trials, no sickness, no death. They enjoyed the company of the Creator Himself. Yet they gave up everything they had-just to eat the fruit of that one forbidden tree. Their mistake still plagues us. How often do we miss the whole forest of God's goodness for a single tree of testing? The moment of temptation seems so overwhelming, the idea so irresistible, our twisted logic so justifiable. Think about all that Adam and Eve left behind in the Garden. Fill your mind with the truths of God's Word and rely on the Holy Spirit's moment-by-moment guidance and strength. Then you'll experience the lasting joy of God's blessing rather than temporary pleasure. -Mart De Haan
How To Handle Temptation Seek God with your whole heart (Psalm 119:9-16). Listen to wisdom (Proverbs 8:1-11). Resist the devil; draw near to God (James 4:7-8).
Your response to temptation will make you or break you.

We are home, Jul is in bed doing just fine..
The doctor said that there was no problems and came through surgery like a champ.
So it is my job to tend to her needs for a week, and she of course is relishing the fact!!
Thank you for your thoughts and Prayers.

Back in the USA I am ... whatta wonderful time we had.
Ireland felt like home, the Irish felt like family.
Missed Brit Hume, Laurie Dhue, Dubya, cheeseburgers and the Finest, though .... I'm glad to be back.
Mr. Mayor .... thanks for letting us know about you dear wife ... I'll be keeping you both in mind ... take this opportunity to spoil her goooood!
Wishing all our Hostesses, and all Freepers, a very fine day.
God blesses America ... there's no place like it ... anywhere, anytime, anyhow.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that actually enjoys the slow loading of the threads because of dial up :)
Good morning all.
My computer chose to take a nose dive on me Sunday night so I am currently sharing my daughter's which hubby moved to my "office" this morning. Poor man tried so hard to fix it for me yesterday morning and again when he got home from work, to no avail.
At least we were able to determine it was not a user failure or a hard drive failure (thank goodness for that)......but as hubby said - he can't poop parts - so he got online last night and ordered a new motherboard, processor and assorted other things for it.
As I was not online yesterday - I hope everyone had a lovely Easter.

Good morning, sweet ((Billie)). I've been missing all of you and your fine post. The reason is that I was in a car accident last Monday. My computer at home is down (getting a new laptop this week) and I had to wait until I came back to work to get caught up. I don't think that will happen any time soon but just wanted to let you all know. Other than a few bruises, I'm doing OK. And, I'm glad to be back.

A kite contest should keep all those idle paws busy. And just think.....no hi-line wires for the kites to get caught in. :)

Hi, Pippin - saw your note the other day about boycotting everything but the Dose and the Finest. There are some real doozies out there, aren't there.
