I don't want to be a hotlinker, but no matter which side of this you're on, you'll have to admit that this is the funniest take on this case yet - and it's aimed squarely at us.

"Would you like to see others that you and your doctor friends can send to "h@ll" by your own hands? There must be thousands of them."

And I'm sure you'll dig out everyone of them. Have fun.

Its too bad we could not determine her status before we tried, judged, and executed her.

What malfeasance? According to documents "More than $750,000.00 in economic damages for Theresa (was put in a trust fund). . . and meticulously manged and accounted for and Michael Shiuavo had no control over it. . .(emphasis added)

Source: Jay Wolfson, GAI Report to Gov. Jeb Bush and the 6th FL Judicial Circuit, dated December 1, 2003.

Her status is the same, both before and after. No cerebral cortex now, no cerebral cortex after the autopsy. Same result. You'll see.

According to Jay Wolfson's December 1, 2003 report as Gaurdian Ad Litem to the Court and Gov. Bush:

"Theresa spent two and a half months as an inpatient at Humana Northside Hospital, eventually emerging from her coma state, but not recovering consciousness. On 12 May 1990, following extensive testing, therapy and observation, she was discharged to the College Park skilled care and rehabilitation facility. Forty-nine days later, she was transferred again to Bayfront Hospital for additional, aggressive rehabilitation efforts . . .

The clinical records . . . show . . . She received regular and intense physical, occupational and speech therapies. . .

In late Autumn [sic] of 1990, following months of therapy and testing . . . Michael took Theresa to California, where she received an experimental thalamic stimulator implant in her brain . . . in January 1991 . . . Theresa was transferred to the Mediplex Rehabilitation Center . . . where she received . . . physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapies.

On 19 July 1991, Theresa was transferred to the Sable Palms . . . facility. . . . (where she received) regular and aggressive physical, occupational and speech therapy . . . through 1994."

Is that not care?

Doesn't matter. don't confuse the issue with the actual HISTORY of the matter, which most probably don't even know. We don't know the history, the family history, what MS and Terri discussed/didn't discuss, or apparently any unbiased medical facts by truly renowned/reputable people. So therefore, we make assumptions and attack anyone who questions us.

Heck, when you're on these threads you can make any hysterical, unproven comment you like. And anyone who dares disagree with you must surely be damned to Hell for disagreeing with you......or at the very least, are salivating over the pending death of this poor woman.

Well over half of the posts here are based on zero percent fact, 60 percent emotion, 35 percent hysterics, and 5 percent outright lies/slander. It's pathetic. This entire circus is shameful.

Sadly, I think you are wrong.
I have been minimally "aware" of what had been and is now being done to Terri Schiavo since she first collapsed. It took me until 2003, the second time the courts tried to murder her, to get personally involved.
Even then, although "we who supported her right to life" won a short reprieve for her life, it shocked me how many people truly lusted for her death.
I moved from Florida, with that battle heavy on my mind.
Now that her situation has the national spotlight, and an act of the Federal Congress, signed by the President of the USA is ignored by local Florida courts and ridiculed by a willfully ignorant national public...
I am not sure I even want to ask God to forgive us, anymore.

Is that not care?

What kind of care did she get from 1994 through 2005?

Don't give up. I too cannot believe the scope of self centered anti life viciousness concerning Terri.
However, I believe that as the events unfold, more and more people will understand how dangerous the judiciary has become and how important right to life issues are.

As Rush said today, the people who support removing the feeding tube are "creepy". I agree.

I have been reading Terri Schiavo threads on Free Republic for, literally, years. Can anybody explain how this case apparently slipped under the radar screen and took the GOP by surprise? I suppose, to answer my own question, that it was never fathomable to anybody with any decency that a whole string of judges would sanction the barbaric murder of a citizen.

Simple. There are some people who think that, no matter how corrupt they are, all they have to do is slap an "(R)" after their name and people will vote for them. And there are voters dumb enough to fall for it.

Florida Republicans need to look at Illinois, 1998-present, to see their future.

I opined that Jeb Bush has flushed his political future down the toilet by backing down from the county probate judge who ordered the murder of Terri Schiavo and was called a "troll". I kid you not.

I know. What Republicans need to realize is that if they don't deal with the corruption within their ranks it will stick to them. Some of the people who are 'attacking' Jeb Bush are trying, vainly, to make him aware that if he doesn't stand up for what's right he will get blamed, justly or unjustly, for what's wrong.

I found the expulsion of Greer from his church to be perhaps the most disturbing thing.

Actually, there's a bit more to it than that. ;)

Speaking of corruption of a certain kind. I love the choice of two of the spokesmen for the Schindler family. They requested Jesse Jackson to come down and speak on their cause's behalf. Jesse Jackson had an affair and a child out of wedlock recently. So he is an adulterer and has a bastard child by a concubine, to use some of the terminology Terri supporters use against Michael Schiavo and his children by his fiance. It's such hypocracy to have Jesse Jackson represent the moral values crowd on behalf of Terri Schiavo.

Then there is one of the other main spokesmen for the Schiavo's, Randall Terry. Here is a bit of information about him:

Randall Terry, anti-abortion activist and now Schindler family spokesman, has an unusual family background. CNN's Anderson Cooper reported tonight: (Transcript available on Lexis.com):

BAKHTIAR: It's been a long road for Randall Terry, who was once imprisoned for sending former President Bill Clinton an aborted fetus. His clinic crusade slowed after he was forced to settle a lawsuit with Planned Parenthood. He moved to Florida and campaigned against infidelity and birth control, gays and unwed mothers.

But a year ago, his expanded agenda came under fire from his own devout Christian family, the children who once were featured in TV ads.

...His son Jamiel came out as gay in a magazine article.

JAMIEL TERRY, RANDALL TERRY'S SON: In my family, it was you start having sex outside of marriage you get AIDS, you're a whore, your a slut, those are exact words. Yesterday he said to me I'm going to be at your funeral, you're going to die at 42.

BAKHTIAR: His teenage daughter Tila, said her father no longer welcomes her in his home.

TILA TERRY, RANDALL TERRY'S DAUGHTER: I had sex outside marriage, I got pregnant and I miscarried after about three or four months. I hadn't been speaking with my dad. We haven't been as close as you know we were since I left his house.

BAKHTIAR: His eldest, Ebony, also had two children out of wedlock and became a Muslim.

EBONY WHETSTONE, RANDALL TERRY'S DAUGHTER: It's a whole make of our family is not traditional, by far. So it's not going to be, you know, picture-perfect.

BAKHTIAR: And Randall Terry himself was censored by his church after he had an affair with an assistant. The family split.

The Schindler family wants to save their daughter. But did they have to pick this charletan who won't even speak to his own children to act as their spokesman?

[Crooks and Liars has the video and more on Terry. So does Media Matters.]

He also got tired of his old wife, so he divorced her in favor of a nice, fresh 22-year old. Family values indeed.

Anyway, it's not surprising they picked him given that over two million dollars in legal aid for the Schindlers has come from Operation Rescue and affiliated anti-abortion groups.

According to the February 12, 2000, Washington Post report, Terry was censured by his church, the Landmark Church of Binghamton, New York, for a "pattern of repeated and sinful relationships and conversations with both single and married women." Terry denies the accusation.

But of course, the Terri Schiavo supporters will use any port in a storm, hypocritical or not. They will justify this in some fashion, how, I can only surmise. The means justify the end, just like the communist philosophy.

Rice also said the church supports keeping Schiavo alive, though he said he was "truly saddened and embarrassed by the level of harassment and vitriolic nature of so many comments that purportedly come from people of faith."

Exactly!
