I don't want to be a hotlinker, but no matter which side of this you're on, you'll have to admit that this is the funniest take on this case yet - and it's aimed squarely at us.
Many here think Terri does not want to die and many who believe that she does. Many argue that the government should not be involved and those who believe they should. Many think she is not in PVS and many who disagree and then there are those who could care less about this who thing
What I would like to know is how many freepers think it's ok to starve a person to death?
And don't give the excuse she is already brain dead, because only God knows for sure if she is and for those who don't believe in God, show absolute proof she can't feel pain.
I personally think this is barbaric. If you are going to order someone die then do it mercifully and quick.
My grand-daughter( number 5 in order of all my grandkids) was student of his when she was at Wake Forrest in Winston-Salem, NC. She is a practicing physician now.
She thought Dr. William Bell was the best Professor she had at the time. I remember because she was giving much thought to neurology as a speciality.
Sorry to get off subject. But who cares, no harm done I guess.
I'll sleep well, too, considering I DO give a damn. But, at this point all the stupid arguments of "Let's do this, let's do that, let's beat Greer with a baseball bat" crap are useless.
Other than working to change bad laws that allowed this injustice to happen (which I've advocated from day one) is there something else you think can be done?
killing people by a perpondrance of the evidence without even a second review of the facts, would be one of those.
Thanks - and all I hear is the Florida law was followed.
Nope. I don't get it. Are you displaying republican elitism?
Well almost, I am a constitutional Conservative, even thou I have been called a right wing religious nut alot lately. My interest in this tragic case is that an American citizen is having her Constitutional right to life denied. If it can happen to her it can happen to any of us and that scares the hell out of me and it should scare the hell out of everyone in this country.
Those who say the gov't shouldn't be involved need to realize The gov't was already involved when it ordered that Terri die. . .if they can order her death they can do it to anyone and I'm curious to see how long until Felos brings his next case to Greer. Terri wasn't in Pinellas county to start off with. They judge shopped.
There is always this to fall back on for the skeptics.
God grant me the wisdom to change the things I can and accept the things I can't .....
....but we are not finished yet.
Thanks.
Since she knew that how much $$ mS received for her care- I figured she would know (W/O chart) the treatments she received.
HE melted down her rings in order to make himself one. I just want to see how generous he was in caring for her with her own money.
Thanks again.
Just a little fact that most don't seem to get!
Not a single one of those courts reviewed the facts of the case. They all relied on the original trial evidence and upon the conclusions resolved during that trial

From what I've seen on this thread, you might do well to consider your own advice.
Her plight isn't funny, but we sure can be.
Do you not somewhere believe that perhaps he made a promise to his wife not to let her "live" by artificial means? Why else would he not just give up and leave. What benefit does he derive out of remaining at her side?
He married her. His father gave her away to him. He is her family.
WOW! Unbelievable
Speaking as a very old person who has been close to leaving this planet SEVERAL times... I would hate to think that anybody in my family would be so cruel as to do this to me.
I know they will not because we have our plans all set-up. Each of us.
When Terri dies she will be a going to God and she will conquer this death that certain people and the government have foisted upon her.
SHE WINS FOR ALL ETERNITY. THE HEAVENLY PRIZE BELONGS TO HER.
As for her tormenters, their fate is in question, to say the very least. Only God will decide their eternity.
Key words in your post being, "as it seems to me". Obviously, I don't see it that or I'd be agreeing with you. Congress and the president blew it on this one. I think they know too, which is why you haven't heard a further peep.
There is nothing funny about that. The humor is about the tendency of conservative allies to destroy their own lines before the next battle is waged. Terri's battle against Schiavo, Felos, and Greer is lost.
I think you are letting this get to you too much--
You need to get a sense of humor---the cartoon was not only spot on, but it was FUNNY!!''
I thought is the the dems that didn't have any sense of humor, gosh, this Schivo case has caused a case of the "dems downer disease" to break out on FR---
We need to find an antidote---and I thought this cartoon just might help, but judging from some of the posts, it is going to take more, than one cartoon.
I am not trying to be disrespectful of Terri, either. I want her to keep living as much as the next person, but laughing a little bit at ourselves won't make her die any faster, my goodness...
