We need to find an antidote---and I thought this cartoon just might help, but judging from some of the posts, it is going to take more, than one cartoon.
I am not trying to be disrespectful of Terri, either. I want her to keep living as much as the next person, but laughing a little bit at ourselves won't make her die any faster, my goodness...
Well, it made me laugh. :-)
I've been stating for awhile now that the Dems are irrelevant, other than fact of their numbers still causing some obstruction.
The arguments centering around Terri prove it. Other than creating fake memos, stating Starvation is euphoric, or trying to prove Reps hypocrites what of substance have they contributed? Nothing.
I'm not going to pretend any of this is pleasant or that I wish the fighting of the past weeks hadn't occured, but at least it proves we have principles we fight for. This is actually close to what our representative government should resemble, unfortunately the Dems have chosen to exit the stage giving up principles for power. So, all the real fights take place in the GOP.
I'll go out on a limb and state the GOP will be the better for the struggle in the end.
