After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
I am SO off Rush! He should have kept his mouth shut. OTOH, Michael Savage knows the criminal allegations, and has the integrity to fight for Terri.
Good point!
That pill fiasco really ticked me off! Living with chronic pain is not fun and finding a doc that will give you something that actually works is nearly impossible. The docs are afraid of being sued and dragged into court over cases such as Rush.
I didn't hear Rush just now. Was on with the President's office. I break ranks with him on that comment.!!
Clinton used it for a bad purpose IMO, so I think Bush can and should use it for a good purpose IMO. It is now the courts that are acting Illegally by ignoring Congress and the President.
It isn't law that stopped the Bushes, it is the polls.

Of this I have no doubt..how else could she have lasted this long? 10 days with no food or water......being given morphine to speed her towards death AND SHE"S STILL AWAKW AND ALERT!
Of course he doesn't. Unless one favors breaking down the doors, he couldn't possibly know the facts of the case.
Where is Judge Roy Moore?
He was removed from office, exactly the same thing that would happen to Jeb Bush.
Michael Savage said on Thursday night that if we wanted to hear the Bush version of events all we had to do was listen to Rush on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
But Rush at least is giving his listeners the horror of Felos. All too late.
But even the executive branch is constrained by court orders, and Judge Greer issued a court order that the DCF and Jeb could NOT take Terri into custody. For them to do so would be breaking the law.
Our anger needs to be at Judge Greer, not Jeb.
That's what I think about Jeb, not the prez.
Judge Moore is such a great man. He lived by the power of his convictions, and we haven't seen the end of him yet!
:-D I think he is truly a great man.
Fox showing Jeb again, smirking about how he must be doing the right thing according to polls. He's a monster. I never, ever in a million years thought I would say this.
From now on, if I consider voting at all, I'm going with who I think will be best for me and my family financially. All this moral majority, right to life, family values platform is a crock. I hate being used!
Yes, I do agree with you Lauren. I, for the most part do not listen to RUSH any more. I have been following his comments over the past two weeks of the intense Terri situation. I agree that he doesn't stand for morality, and would protect the RNC even if they do wrong. I do think though that he stands against the Pres. on immigration. Didn't mean to get the thread off on a Rush tangent. I am dissapointed that he doesn't see that Terri MUST be saved!!!!!
Oh and I see that these 'public servants' are LAUGHING????
1. Did anyone warn Terri, at the time that she allegedly said, "No tubes," that her words would be used to actually starve her? Shouldn't someone have given her a "Miranda style warning?"
2. How do we know Terri wasn't depressed at the time? Depressed people may say they don't want to be a burden on others...but we don't insist they be killed to remove the burden. State of mind can make a difference in the responsibility someone has, about words that they utter.
3. There may be evidence that she said, "no tubes," but there is no clear and convincing evidence that was what she would want for her final decision, BECAUSE she did not understand that this was her final word
Intent. Intent. Intent
4. If she even made that comment, perhaps she was just saying it to bring comfort to a listener in earshot, who she knew had recently "unplugged" someone. People say things they don't believe in order to make someone feel good.
Intent. Intent. Intent
If I want to get away from a persistent salesperson, and I say, "I'll come back and buy that refrigerator, so give me your business card," I don't have to buy the refrigerator.
Even if I go back I don't have to buy that refrigerator. I haven't put anything in writing. Even if I put something in writing, I might have 48 hours in which to indulge my "buyer's remorse."
5.It's doubtful that Terri realized what she was doing at the time would be legally binding It's doubtful that she realized she was making a declaration of intent that she wanted to be starved.
6. Did Terri ever say she wanted Michael to be her health care agent? The judge ruled that her comment to Michael did not count. So that means Michael's right to kill her is based on comments made by others.
Clinton ignored a court order when he forcefully took Elian into custody. He went against the Law. The only reason he got by with it is because the Left has control of the media and the courts. Bush does not have that same luxury.
If Bush took Terri despite the court order for him not to, Terri would end up in the same place she is right now because of the corruptness of our courts. It would accomplish nothing except for more trauma for Terri and her family.
Have you seen him on Fox yet today?? He's admitting his decision to do nothing is poll driven! Sorry, he's dirt as far as I'm concerned. He was smirking.....OMG
