After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
And if the surrogate become incapacitated with or before or shortly after you? Or you have no close family left you can trust? Or the surrogate is sweet now but turns sour later?
Putting nothing in writing led to Terri's murder-as-we-watch.
Surrogates have their place, but I would want to see a national database for advanced directives. Index them by name and SSN and fingerprints. And the directives must be in plain English, and a Federal law governing what they mean, and the requirement that all be sworn on oath.
I have been told a couple of tmes in the last few days to leave the country, nope, I think I'll stay and figth instead. Nobody lives forever.
Comfort the Schindlers as You also comfort Terri, dear Lord . . . we pray that they will be protected from any further harm or insult at this point. Please look after them, bring good to them, and bring good people into Terri's fight as You strengthen the minds and hearts of those who have been involved all along.
Please bring all of Terri's warriors sweet rest tonight and needed refreshment even at this impossibly hard time -- thank you for amdgmary, floriduh voter, phenn, Eternal vigilance, russes junjee, dandelion, and others who are there supporting Terri and her family. In Jesus' Precious Name, Amen . . .

He basically compared it to Clinton/Reno vs Elian and how they succeded in steamrolling over local juristictions and courts and how the Bushes failed to do that.

Rather, be thrilled to hear how God in His power and grace still is allowing our SLOW country to understand and get the facts right, and then hopefully rise in ONE voice to rescue Terri.
Yours is a type of euthanasiast philosophy, that suffering is wrong, so murder is better.
I would rather suffer than have someone kill me.

I'm so sorry...I wish Michael had done the same. At least your brother had care from those who loved him for 13 years. It breaks my heart that Terri has been so neglected. Her poor parents had to walk on eggshells so as not to offend her killer. Why does he hate her so?
There is a new thread just posted that has an article written by John Fund---of the WSJ--that was just on Drudge talking about the Elian Gonzalez mishap, and the fact the the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution dictates that what congress passes, the Courts MUST follow or adhere to---
IOW, the courts that ignored the de novo order in the law passed last week, went against the 2nd Amendment--
I heard John Fund say that on Drudge---I would bet it is all in the article on the other thread---

Hopefully, John Fund will write or has written an article for WSJ where he reinterates his views in the interview.
Makes me think how if people like him had been calling the shots, Terri would already have a saline IV and feeding tube and be recovering..makes me very disappointed.

You know I think this is more about hating her parents and Terri is just the tool he's using to make the rest of their lives miserable. I don't think he thinks about Terri at all, if he ever did. Some people don't like being questioned and if you do they will do everything in their power to hurt you. Very controlling.
