Happy Easter. But on a sad note, I gave a test Thursday to 3 classes (8th thru 12th grade). As a bonus question I asked, "Tomorrow is Good Friday. What historical event does it commemorate?"
Only one student got the answer right. When I informed the other students that it marked the day Christ was crucified their response was to the effect "Oh, no one ever taught us that." These are middle class kids who all go to church.
