Michael Schiavo has filed a petition with the Supreme Court asking them to stay out of the case.
What are the adultry laws! Whether you can speak for yourself or not you should be entitled to a divorce if your husband breaks your marriage vows. Hello, thats a contract! He broke and she should not have to abide by anything he decides.
Which makes sense because cohabitation and adultery are second degree misdemeanors under Florida law.

He's been wrapped up prettily by the extensive Death cult network in Florida and the nation and prances about in the media.
Setting aside this dehumanizing, sickening view, let us first remember that we do not let other animals suffer in this way. Remember that even in the Bible humans were taught to respect animals and to kill them in a kosher way; we were not allowed to let them suffer.
I know this is probably true, but what happened to the separation of powers doctrine? Can someone explain how Florida's govt is constructed?

I thought so. Calls for mob action in this case are irresponsible. That is not how we do things in this wonderful nation.
If Terri's case is to have any impact, that impact must come from legislation, carefully considered. A mob will not effect any change, other than to harden the hearts of those who must make the laws that affect these end of life decisions.
I'm not encouraged when I see so many people saying that the answer here is for people to do what is patently illegal to save this poor woman's life.
If what is happening to Terri is wrong, then laws need to be changed. But...the FL legislature just refused to pass a bill to change the law. Just yesterday.
This is not a simple matter, and will not be solved today.
As far as God is concerned as well.
I remind you that Clinton used an executive order and the Dept of Justice to remove Elian Gonzalez from his relatives in Fla. Presidents have used the military in many ways without a declaration of war from Congress. So the power does exist in the Exec Branch.
I mean the whole situation is tragic and sad. She was a beautiful young woman whose life was changed forever in an instant.
Nobody wants to talk about the fact that maybe she DID say that she wouldn't want to live like this. Point to all the medical facts that you want, she's been in this condition for 15 years. What if she's praying for death?
