TAMPA, Fla. (AP) A lawyer for Terri Schiavo's parents says an appeal to try to keep the brain-damaged woman alive has been filed with the U.S. Supreme Court.
Employees of the DCF want to remain employed. I can see this as too threatening for them as well.
Agreed...the Supreme Mullahs are senile proponents of death (most of them, anyway)
He'll just pass it on to the full court. No way he'll do ANYTHING on his own...
Unfortunately, like the other appeals, this is likely to go nowhere.
If he is going to act, Jeb should do so now....this might create the 'crisis' necessary to incite the USSC to order something to be done to review the entire case, not just the legal proceedings to date.
Of course, it might just p*ss off the USSC...but a life is in the balance.
Mind you, this is just the humble opinion of a Doctor, and not a lawyer (so I have no idea)....
Both Bushes wimped here while appearing to "err on the side of life". Jeb is allowing this lunatic Greer to run roughshod over the State of Florida. Evil is being allowed to win.
This is over. Pray for Terri to go peacefully and for as little pain as possible in the next 24-36 hrs as her vital organs begin to shut down one by one.
America USED TO BE three equal branches of gov't.
How could it be that neither Gov or Pres Bush can mobilize some force days ago?
I agree, who the hell is that Judge to ignore a statute of Florida Law. Lock that Grim Reaper up and put him on a feeding tube
I say he will do it himself: NO.
The court was given only scarce mention in the Constitution...it was meant to be the most benign. It has now become a malignant cancer that plagues this country.
I don't think thea the SC will take the case either.
Hey, maybe we could send her to Guatmo?
The libs are always saying that the patriot act makes it so Bush can put whomever there he wants, right?
I'm afraid I agree, I was quite hopeful today after Jeb Bush's press conference, but fear the worst. Well, I hope this won't seem awful, but perhaps Terri's murder will, as Mary Jo Koepechne's did, accomplish some greater good.
