The spiritual advisor of the Schindlers, Bro. O'Donnell, said the Dept. of Children and Families has had a new physician examine Terri and that "he DID go into her room and WAS at her side and DID observe her."
Department of Children and Families, are the department if someone is being physically abused, or the elderly, and "they have the authority" to take her into protective custody.
He continued, "what is being done to her now constitutes" that, and that DCF should "be taking her into protective custody."
Cooper: "Aren't people being taken off feeding tubes all the time?" Brother O'Donnell: "When they're DYING. But she was not dying. She could live another 20, 40 years."
"She's the only person who has been COURT ORDERED to have her tubes removed. Not 'The guardian MAY" but the guardian 'shall' remove her tubes."
CNN checked on the facticity of this last claim, and found that "There is ONLY ONE other case, Nancy Beth Cuzan in which the court ordered the tube MUST be removed."
Dr.Sanjay Gupta says if Terri is in the minimally conscious state, her eyes open spontaneously. She must do one of the following: --follow simple commands (to show she can hear and understand) --give yes or no responses
So they might be now. In 2003 they were not. The snippets of doc B's were released. Doc Bambakidis's exam lasted less than 45mins, as I remember.

I don't take reviews, especially by clown judges that claim to have seen the tapes, claim to be able of analyzing what they contain, and all, w/o exception, fail to flag Bambakidis's perjury. The times story is as bogus as the clowns they are writing about. I do my own analysis on what was released and what was not.

A while back some folks were wondering how Greer could see the tapes of Terri, since he has such poor vision.
I don't think the tapes were played right in front of his face in court. Maybe he watched them up close somewhere else, but the "expert witness" should have been present, in order to explain what Greer was "seeing."

There's audio. Greer didn't need them to be present. He chose Bambakidis specifically, because he knew what the clown's testimony would be beforehand.
Yes! It was very misleading! They apparently attempt to confirm PVS from his report and he makes it clear she is responsive and said it was likely minimal consciousness, a very different diagnosis. Therefore, PET scan or fMRI was warranted to confirm a diagnosis.
No...we are neglecting them. That's wrong, too, but it's not murder.

I just meant I question Greer's ability to understand what he was seeing, since his vision is so poor. I think another Judge should have handled the case.
How many people settle for a hazy picture on their TV while they're watching the world series? And Terri's life is more important than baseball.

In some cases, yes.
If a mother feeds her pre-school children 3x a day for 2 years and then she purposely does not feed her children for days on end, and they die, that is death by omission and murder.

actually, it was all of her doctors (over 8) and all 3 GALs who said she was PVS - including Pearse, who sided with her parents on the tube (he had a moral problem with the idea of it for anyone), but in 6 months never elicited a response from Terri.
GAL Wolfson agreed with him that she is PVS, cept he wanted further tests for swallowing and didn't think $ was motivating michael.

Only 2 docs who examined Terri, and one who observed her said she wasn't or might not be PVS. The rest are going by video snippets. 3 I note are closely connected to hammesfahr. I'll persue that tomorrow. If I wake up. lol

Oh, I think that's well known. That doesn't make it palatable. There are also hundreds of thousands of babies killed in abortion clinics every year. The fact that killing goes on in large numbers -- whether starvation of parents or dismemberment of children in the womb -- doesn't make it right. Yhe other day Rush said something memorable: When his grandmom was on a feeding tube and the doc suggested to his mom that it be withdrawn, Rush said: do you really want to have to live with the fact you killed your own mother by starvation? She didn't pull the tube. Rush said this, not me.

I'm feeling little pain at the moment, lol. I tried to move a tv set in the bottom of a closet. Not smart when you have a herniated lumbar disk already. And I never learned to type, so my one-handed way has done a number on my wrist at th angle I'm doing it sitting strangely.

You don't seem to realize that a person is not merely what they are physically.
We have a material and immaterial nature in our one person. You are still YOU if you lose a limb, or if you lose part of your brain.
YOU are created in the image of God and have value. In the womb. Out of the womb. Ugly. Minus a limb or two. Minus some brain. YOU are still YOU!! And God wants a relationship with you.
Your life has meaning. And this Easter week is a good time to start learning about what God has done for you and the plans He has for you!

You can't appoint counsel to someone who is incapacitated and cannot consult. That's why they use GALs. I agree that she should have had one all along. What they did was appoint one at times when a decision needed to be made- like (p---) in the 93 or 4 guardianship challenge, in 98 (pearce) to do decide about what would become the 2000 trial (I think they appointed a replacement, but they've removed the links), and in 2003 to report to Bush (Wolfson).
