A while back some folks were wondering how Greer could see the tapes of Terri, since he has such poor vision.
I don't think the tapes were played right in front of his face in court. Maybe he watched them up close somewhere else, but the "expert witness" should have been present, in order to explain what Greer was "seeing."
There's audio. Greer didn't need them to be present. He chose Bambakidis specifically, because he knew what the clown's testimony would be beforehand.
Three other judges watched the tapes and read the testimony and looked at the test results. They talk about it in the 2DCA ruling I linked to.
