I wrote this to a FReeper earlier. She was feeling much frustration with many here I believe because of what was, in her mind, a careless disregard for morality and the well-being of an innocent and quite defenseless girl, Terri Schiavo.
The intelligent and good FReeper was at the point of wanting to leave FR. So I wrote her:

Don't go, please. You're one of the folks here with a real good heart and very strong feelings. That is a very good combination. Don't go ........
I'm getting a feeling (or a wish) that today (Wednesday) the Federal marshals or some others are going to take control of this abysmal situation. Unlike the Elian Gonzalez catastrophe, this will be for the good of a human being.
Maybe in the future it can be referred to as 'Good Wednesday'. Because the more I learn about this entire case, this girl has been done wrong since the very beginning and things must be righted. What is happening now must end....... well.

I implore all who care about the wrongness of all this to contact the White House, contact anyone who could have something to do with getting action TODAY. There can not be any more wasted time and destruction of this innocent girl. If this husband is much of what we suspect, this matter should not be allowed to end in her death by these brutal means!
Your post just brought back memories of how Rodney King's supporters got the verdict they wanted from the feds.
So how in the heck are Felos and Schiavo fighting for Terri's "right" to be starved if Cranford, the doctor who testified for them in court, says she is not a person with rights?
Logically speaking, the only people who think Terri has rights are the same people who are thinking she is a person with the right to live.
Does it matter?
Silence never won rights. They are not handed down from above; they are forced by pressures from below. ~Roger Baldwin

Agreed.
Remember Rosa Parks
Yes!
Somthing else to ask those two holdouts in the FL legislature: If they think PVS patients have Constitutional rights.
Oh, cut the crap. A comment like that only points out that you have been waiting for anything to condemn the President.
E-mail sent to the President. Praying it will help.
I would like to think that the police would refuse to use force against you and stand aside, but they would, most likely, shoot every last one of you to serve the tares.

Well said. I haven't decided about FR but will most certainly leave the Republican Party if Terri dies. Constitutionalism is apparently dead - anyone who doubts this need only consider executive and legislative abdication of responsibility to black-robed tyrants in the Schiavo case. If a brain-damaged woman can be legally executed in America for being inconvenient to her husband under Republican rule, how much worse can it really get under Democrats? I've long suspected that the best we can now hope for is a Pinochet-style interregnum while America relearns the difficult art of self-government. At this stage, only the President and Congress giving the judiciary the Andrew Jackson treatment would convince me that perhaps there's still hope.
For whatever my word is worth around here?
I agree with you.
Excuse this stupid question by me, but how do I ascertain just where this particular thread is listed. I really would like it to get the maximum exposure.
What has been happening to this girl for well over a decade MUST STOP TODAY!
This has most likely been a crime for the entire time.
This has been, without a doubt, the finest media whitewash ever conducted. If the media portrayed this case accurately, there would be a public outcry like you've never heard.
I'm really disgusted. Unfortunately, I think all legal measures have played out. Our world now actually has contempt for life. Sand...
The ground swell would be so massive that something would be done.
Eternal irony...
Woman arrested for trying to offer a cup of water.
Reminds me of those who tried to give Christ a cup of water...but the mobs desire to crucify Him was greater. You can almost hear the echos from the past...Crucify Him, Crucify him, Crucify her. But let us remember that what we do for the least of us we do for Christ.
How nice it is to be remembered throughout all history as the loser that tried to offer Christ a cup of water vs the winner that Crucified Him. How blind are those who threw dice at the feet of Him who was dying. How blind was the crowd that called for Christ to be crucified, justified by mans law, yelling, let the blood be on our hands.
Its Lent... The godless (at least in name for they follow another god...that of death) are celibrating their holiday. A rememberence of death. Their thrist is being quenched while Terri dehydrates, their hunger filled while she starves. The death of the most innocent, the unborn, the helpless, the defenseless is what causes such joy to those that have replaced Christ in their hearts with Satans desires. In a world without God they must play god in order to give life meaning, yet in playing god they have unknowingly but one god to immitate.
How blind they must be to think that this Lent is but a coincidence of timing to put her to death. How blind they must be to be found measured in every court at every level (as Christ was when the religious leaders went from one kangaroo court to another to seek the death of an innocent man). How blind are those that stand guard over her door while she lies nailed to the bed through weakness. Will anyone offer her even a sponge of vinegar to cool her dried lips.
God forgive us....Christ have mercy on us.
Their is no greater gift than to lay down ones life for the life of another...spoken by The Word, Jesus Christ, only a short 2000 years ago.
I'm not real familiar with that.
