If the police shot anyone trying to give water to Terri then it would be shot heard around the entire world.

The ground swell would be so massive that something would be done.

expat,

I'd love to think you are right, but I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach that it wouldn't make a bit of difference to the majority of Americans if someone was killed trying to give Terri a cup of water.

I didn't say anyone would be shot for trying to bring water. I was referring to a post musing about any rescue attempt. However, if someone was shot for trying to bring water, I don't think the reaction would be as you say. The usually cop hating media would portray the cop as a hero, defending Terri's right to dehydrate from a crazy, dangerous, right wing, neo-nazi nightrider of the radical right.

There is a demonic horde in the country who are enthusiastically cheering for Terri's death and they are far more vocal than we. They have the power. It is their brethren in black robes on the bench dispensing death. They are of their father and they are legion.
