Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
Guys, if Terri is still alive by the end of this day i believe in my heart that DCFS will be taking her into custody!
Jeb said as well as the DCFS and other lady that there is new evidance and a doctor has looked at it and obviously this Neurologist is seeing something different than what Greer has ruled!! DCFS is in front of Greer right now as we speak to get him to once again, stop this madness with the new evidance obtained by DCFS!! lets hope and pray again that Greer will for cone do the right thing! Don't stop believing!!
Lets get to praying people! Keep the calls to the senate, keep the calls and prayer going for everyone involved! We must not let Terri and her family down!
Jeb said they have something in front of Greer now. Jebs lawyer said DCF CAN take Terri in protective custody and stated that's all they'll say for now.
What's the worst thing that can happen if this bill passes? We will have saved a life. What's the worst thing that can happen if Webster's bill fails? Terri will die. (My streaming audio failed momentarily...missed some of it.)
That is not a request, right?
I didn'thear him say he would be taking custody If DCF is going to they better hurry.

I thought I heard that. That she would have to be taken into custody to be stabilized. I could be the agency though..
Amen! We Call Earnestly unto You, our King! Arise, Reveal Thy Holy Arm, and let Thy Mighty Power Go Forth, to the Praise of Thy Glorious Grace! In Jesus' Name, we Plead for the Life of our sweet little sister, amen.
To clarify once again:
When asked about protective custody, Jeb deferred to his legal counsel who quoted code number and said that under the law, DCF could take Terri into protective custody. When asked if HE could do it, he said "It's not up to me"
Now what?
When asked if he had the power to take her into custody... DCF COULD take custody according to law.
Hannity says he thinks there is a good chance the tube will be reinserted maybe by the end of his program.
Well, radio talk show hosts are 0 for 3 concerning the 11th Circus court, so I hope they are due for a hit.
Spot On. This case is their euthanasia watershed.
he said it was up to DCFS and did you notice how he had the person from DCFS go up and she had the law number ready to read that yes they have the authority! And i believe by the end of this God willing Terri is still alive they will take her into protective custody!
Mine failed too and picked up with the current guy. I don't know how he finished up, but I heard enough to know I'm thankful there are a few like him there.
He didn't say that. He said HE can't do anything. Jebs legal counsel said DCF CAN take her in protective custody and that's all they'll say for now.
I really don't agree.
As a republican interested in state's rights, limited government in line with classic federalism (the federalist papers anyone?), I find this entire schiavo business horrific.
The federal government does not have the power to be doing what it is doing, it reminds me of the power grab of Brown vs Board of Education.
Hard cases make for bad law.
As ugly as this Terri Schiavo business is, it is Florida's business - right or wrong.
Whether or not we disagree with it, it is not reason enough for us to lower ourselves to those who refuse to follow the rule of law (read: liberals)
Personally, I'm offended so many people here care so little for our rule of law.
Going before Greer? Greer has already thumbed his nose at DCF. Why do they have to ask his permission?
Hannity just replayed the governor's aide confirming the DCF has the authority to take Terri, in the right circumstances. Then Hannity predicted they WOULD. I'm fond of Hannity, though not for his wattage. He's got a good heart. We need all the good hearts we can get in this world. But...I think he's mistaken here.
