Q Can you go over what went on last night, in terms of the President signing the bill and how it went down?
MR. McCLELLAN, WHITE HOUSE: Sure. I guess the bill -- the House passed it shortly after midnight, and then the President signed it at 1:11 a.m., in the morning. The Staff Secretary, Brett Kavanaugh, walked the legislation over to the residence for the President to sign. He came outside his bedroom and signed it in the residence.
Q Had he been asleep?
MR. McCLELLAN: Yes, he was woken up after it was passed, when it was ready to be signed.
Q I heard you describe it earlier, he came out of his bedroom and literally signed it standing up in the hall; is that how it went/
MR. McCLELLAN: That's correct, yes. He was just standing in the hall in the residence an signed the legislation then.
Q Was he wearing --
Q Is it safe to assume he wasn't wearing a suit and tie at the time? (Laughter.)
MR. McCLELLAN: I'm not going into that much detail. Yes, he cleaned up, put on his suit -- (laughter.)
END
AMEN to that! ;-)
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.
Then when was she buried?
I dunno, she looks more aware than Feinstein or Pelosi. They're not on feeding tubes though, they're on credit cards.
Hey, you can be in my foxhole, anytime!
If Kennedy is getting up in the middle of the night, its probably because he left somone in the car at the bottom of a lake, then again, if he did remember, he'd probably still go back to bed.
Uh huh. And when did Reagan die?
I'm sorry you have to wade through pages of articles on Terri, you must be really put out.
Well, considering that her case was the subject of an unprecedented vacation-postponing reconvention of Congress to debate and pass emergency legislation via midnight vote covered by all three cable news networks for hours on Palm Sunday, I'd say it's a priority today, wouldn't you? Sheesh.
Sadly, you're still with us.
Why not just stay off the Schiavo threads, if that's how you feel? This too, shall pass.
Much Agreed!
Gee, and all they had to do was post a copy of the death certificate, and then we could all get back to taxes, right?
From the article:
Q Was he wearing --
Q Is it safe to assume he wasn't wearing a suit and tie at the time? (Laughter.)
MR. McCLELLAN: I'm not going into that much detail. Yes, he cleaned up, put on his suit -- (laughter.)
LOL!
Same thing happened a few years back when it was ElianRepublic. It happens. An issue comes along that divides conservatives that normally agree on most issues, this is one of those cases. I welcome the fact that this is not just another "we all agree" type of issue, say like a Hillary-bashing thread.
I've seen someone in a persistent vegatative state, and was willing to consider involuntary twitches as hope against hope that it wasn't so. Terry Shiavo is NOT PVS, she responds to exteral stimuli interactively and is exihibiting signs of severe motor skill loss.
**The lights are on, Terri is home, but her worthless POS husband is trying desperately to throw away the key to the front door.**
There is no living will on record - only hearsay.
If I had a spouse do to me what is being done to this woman, I'd haunt the b*tch forever.
God Bless our President.
Oh, and I also wasn't aware we had a limit on how much a certain subject could be discussed. Probably because there is no such limit. People don't like it, Tough. There are certain subjects I get tired of dominating discussion, but I don't whine about it. You just scan over it rather than invade the thread.
What a horrible picture you created there.
In regards to "all freepers want to talk about is terry bla bla.."
I felt the same when Jhn Kerry and Dean were popular threads here. There were too many and it drove me nuts, but I kept quiet for the communitie's sake.. I only wish JR would implement a function-filter where you can ask to "Not Show" subjects with various keywords. That way I would filter; Hilary, clinton, dean, kerry, DU, DUmmies, vanity.."
That's kind of an ironic picture. I seem to remember everyone wanting Elian's father not to have any rights. And now everyone WANTS the parents to the rights.
