Torie,

You should have your mouth washed out with soap for writing that language! Okay. Maybe slosh around a little grape juice.

That entire think made no sense. To me. (Truth in advertising.)

And we the people should enact justice against these scum. Are you with me?

PistolPaknMama,

If the judge did say a comment along the lines of how long Terri lasted last time and that he has time, I'm thinking (not a lawyer!) that it shows clear prejudicial disregard for the life of the plaintiff. I don't think I said it correctly, but I believe you can get the gist of it.

"Like I give a SH*T if it's constitutional."

That, my friend, is not a conservative statement.

I believe it's been put on hold until this judge makes his decision. My Lord. What twisted, perverted minds.

How do you PROPOOSE a law?

What is taking this judge so long to decide?

He has already decided but he is too much of a coward to put the gun to her head so he will let her starve to death. Let his name be blotted out.

Sound legal analysis. There's no there there. We've been subjected to an enormous and a cynical political power ploy by the pirates of Congress duping a willing bunch of extremist on the Right.

The injunction standard is really inapplicable here. Instead the judge should require Terri's feeding tube to be reinserted to preserve the most important piece of evidence in the case, Terri herself. If a defendant deliberately sets out to destroy the most important piece of evidence in any other Federal case the judge has the inherent power immediately to order the defendant to cease and that the evidence be preserved pending the outcome of the case, even if it doesn't look like the plaintiff will prevail.

Every one worked through the night last night to get this done in time to save Terri - and this judge is stalling an entire day. I am so sick and tired of these judges playing god.

If I had the money I would order side after side of beef to be delivered to that person's home.

Until he was absolutely sick of beef and couldn't give it away fast enough.

Then I would add fish to it.

Then pork and chicken.

I would want him to be repulsed (by his own will, mind you) by the very sight of the food he denied to Terri.

And it can be done, just that way.

And I do not think it's considered cruel and unusual punishement.

(Yes. I'll have to deal with the Lord, dealing with me.)

For her to have "asked" for it -- for it to be done on her "wishes" -- would have been such a sin, in Catholic theology.

Excellent point. Keep informing and praying. I'm going to go lead the family in prayer for Terri.

Thanks for lifting my spirits once again Freepers, it's been a while since I've tuned in. God bless.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. The main thing that gives me hope is that we know of this case at all. Despite my concerns of how we as a society will react to Terri's death (should it come to that, as I fear it will), the fact that we have a tool now to spread info that in years past would have remained secret, gives me hope. You see, good men can do nothing to fight evil when the evil is hidden. You describe a man discussing this issue in 1967, in that year, would you or I even be aware of this? With the media then (and now), I doubt it. For all we know, stuff like this happened then as well, but no one knew.

However, my question stands, how will we respond to the murder of an innocent, who was denied due process, should she die at the hands of the state? Time will tell...

Glad to be here, MOgirl

The fact that the judiciary may not be on the same playbook as the House/Senate GOP was always a real possibility.

May not be? MAY NOT?

Evert Federal judge in the country knows that Stevens, Souter, Ginsburg, Kennedy and Breyer would pull Terri's tube out with their own hands.

You can be sure that any Federal judge will rule accordingly.

Her only hope was executive action. Congress was a sideshow.

Suicide. It's considered the worst sin - because it's of despair and cannot be undone.

It is a view held by the Catholic church and many Christians, along with non-Christians.
